ncaa clearly didnt want iowa in 2nd round vs duke, duke is the money bags for tv. iowa posed them the biggest threat of the tourney to final four (check their boards, they were really worried about playing iowa's athletic bigs)

these refs just have to answer questions about this crazy pattern

I never will get why some people have a problem with other fan base expectation. Like last year isu football. Preseason picks of 8 wins, and mega meltdowns by mid season.

Of course iowa fans were taking pleasure in the deflation of the isu fan base so perhaps that's karma.

They weren't in the tournament. Tennessee is. Did 60 teams have a first-round bye? No. It was a play-in game to get into the tournament.

I feel bad that Jon is breaking his stuff. Remotes are kind of expensive. Hope HN has a bake sale for him.

To be fair, Iowa played a lot better than I thought they would. If the same team that showed up against Northwestern showed up tonight, then the game would have been over by halftime. I do give them some credit for pulling things back together and at least making a good game of it.

Iowa still can't get into the NCAA even with a free play in. They would have better off playing in the NIT. At least they would have gone further.
