I'd say Iowa should be tenderloins or pork chops over corn dogs.

Yeah, when I saw NY Pizza at #22 and Chicago Pizza at #1, I rolled my eyes. But for some reason I kept reading, and when I saw that Skyline Chili was at #52, behind "being hit by a car," some of my faith had been restored to the author.

If you're going to put Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza at #1, at least call it by its proper name: Chicago Style Round Lasagna. The guy just loves lasagna in round form.

Frigging homemade meat pies in Nebraska? Never had one/never heard of them. Thinking sweet corn, tenderloins, angus burgers. Who is this guy? Was he thinking Runza? And for the record, some of these things listed are worse than Cincy chilli.

Instead of a competing thread I'd also throw this state listing. This is every state by the brand name their state is most known for.

I agree with you and also think that it could have made for a funnier article. I know it's because of the fair and everything on a stick, but still, there are quite a few things I miss about Iowa, at the top of that list is a Tenderloin Sandwich.
