Hey guys just letting you all know that I threw for 4 TD's tonight in intramural flag football... If you guys could bring this to Rhoads' or Pollard's attention I'd love to help the program reach a championship level...

Can you play RB? Iowa is desperate for some.

If anyone needs a 6'3 stick to play safety, I'm your man. When I make bone crushing hits, it's my bones that are being crushed.

There definitely was.

Here's a nice little video of Leach after a win against BU just in case you haven't seen it. He gets a little mad.

ttraiderbacker, what do Tech fans think was really going on here? Is this a true post-game whipping from a coach who was actually dissatisfied with the players?

I've wondered if it wasn't really a ploy by Leach to help get himself fired. He looks right at the camera enough to make it clear that he knows he is being taped. Why would you let someone record a speech like that unless you are trying to make a statement to someone who would see it? I wouldn't put it past him. Leach is a strange, but shrewd guy.

Isn't he a lawyer? I've wondered if he thought he could win big in court for some sort of improper termination (or just get a better settlement) if he could get them to fire him. Didn't they fire him just days before he was going to get an enormous bonus? Is it still in court? If so, what does he hope to accomplish? How much money is he likely to get out of winning a suit or settling out of court?

I think you should just appreciate beating Oklahoma last year. If you beat them again I will buy a TT shirt, but if you lose you have to buy an ISU shirt. Deal?

Well, Tech can't come out of the gates slow like we have the last couple of years offensively. If we come out, and play our game, I think we can move to 4-0, and I'm sure you ISU fans are saying the same thing.

Tech is 3 deep at RB (all 3 will play quite a bit), and legitmately 8-9 deep at WR, and we have a TE (Jace Amaro) who can flex out, and cause all kinds of problems for corners, or safeties. Amaro, is 6'5 about 260 (was a #52 nationally ranked player). He's still learning, but we are getting him more involved in the offense each week.

Tech just so many different kinds of weapons that we didn't have last season. It's really going to be hard for teams to match up, and as long as Coach Brown calls a good game, and Doege can go through his progressions, we will continue to score points. I would thik thins game more closely resembles the 2010 game, then the 2011 game.
Rhoads knows Tubby's tendencies and appears to have his number. I would not expect TT to come in and win in Ames, but you never know. The Clones will not lack confidence against Tech. I have a junior at TT, so I will not be terribly upset if the Raders do manage a win in Ames.

Well, I saw the 4-2 or 3-3 thing and thought to myself, self, sure that could happen, so could 0-6.

Jantz is a better passer than Barnett. Much bigger arm and a legitimate deep ball QB (he took a number of shots vs. Iowa that were just barely missed). His turnover issues are getting quite a bit better. His completion % is over 70% on the season.

He has 4 interceptions, a fumble and another fumble that could have just as easily been pinned on him as the RB(it was his decision to try to pull it out late that put the ball on the ground). Accumulating that in just a little over 10 quarters of play, I think he still has a long way to go on this one. His improved completion rate is definitely cause for optimism. It seemed like he got happy feet a few times against WIU. He fled the pocket a few times and ran right into pressure when staying in the pocket would have been safe. He seems to get nervous when the tackles block the pass rusher upfield past the pocket. Step up into the pocket, man.

If it would help the team, I can provide something unique for college football, because I'm a man. I'm 40.

Even Brandon Weedon couldn't say that.

:smile:One of the NFL talking heads yesterday referred to Weedon as a young quarterback. Pretty sure he's older than Rodgers.

It's going to be a long two weeks. Win or lose, I'm just not sure how much the TT game is going to tell us about what CPR has this year. TT has beat up on a bunch of nobodies, so it's really tough to say whether they're that much better than last year's squad or if they're just an ok team taking full advantage of a weak early schedule.
I think ISU has enough talent and depth plus a big homefield advantage to run their record to 4-0, but it's certainly no gimmie.

Crazy Thread ----

I think TT has feasted on too many cupcakes. The long plane ride north and all that frosting will have them throwing up on themselves the first big hit they take from Jake or A.J. After that TT will be so emberased they won't want to play any more and the Clones cruise to 4-0.

I want to respect TT more but it sounds like they have alot of internal problems and some poor dietary habits.
