Up north
My favorite places
Chinese: CHC and Little Tapei
BBQ: Battles but I am a pretty big fan of the sundaes at Hickory Park
Pizza: Jeffs and I also like their toasted subs
Sandwiches: West Street Deli

I am also a pretty big fan of the Cafe.

I'd like tell you my go to place for the wife and I but it is well hidden in west Ames. With the trouble we've been having with finding a table lately it may not be our go to restaurant any more.

If it hits CycloneFanatic, it's cover will be blown, and I'll have to wait.

I think it's funny how threads like this continue when the OP was asking what he could eat yesterday afternoon.

A hidden restaurant in Ames, I call shenanigans.

Best gyro in Ames is actually at Pammel Street Deli. You wouldn't think anything can beat the stand, but they can. I guess their gyro burritos and gyro pizza are also fantastic.
