Addy Brown - Cyclone MVP?

Was thinking about this when the news of Addy missing some time came out - I think Addy was the most indispensable of the WBB roster. She is the leading rebounder, second leading scorer, probably the best passer on the team and a plus ball handler that can take pressure off the PG and initiate the offense. She is also probably a plus defender on our team. No disrespect to Audi but I think that her scoring could be replaced easier than the all around game that Addy brings.

I think that this is an explanation for our current struggles - along with AJ as a solid shooter and another plus defender and you have challenges. The replacements for Addy / AJ are either solid on the defensive or offensive end for the most part but are not two way players (Reagan has been the closest but her size limits her effectiveness on the defensive end).

NSCR: *** 2026 NASCAR THREAD ***

NASCAR announced changes to their Championship Format:

  • The field sizes for The Chase in each series remain the same — the top 16 drivers in the Cup Series, 12 in O’Reilly and 10 in Trucks — but all drivers qualify based on regular-season points. The “win-and-you’re-in” rule that provided regular-season winners with automatic playoff berths is no more.
  • Race winners now collect 55 points, a 15-point increase over the previous points system. Points awards for all other positions and stage results remain the same, but bankable playoff points are no longer part of the format.
  • Points will be reset for each series’ Chase field with a 25-point premium awarded to the regular-season champion. Top seeds will start The Chase with 2,100 points, 2,075 for the second seed and 2,065 for the third, with a five-point drop for each seed after.
  • The Cup Series’ Chase spans the final 10 races of the season, with nine Chase races for the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and seven in the Craftsman Truck Series.
  • The driver with the most points at the end of the season will be the series champion.

Joshua Jefferson Comparision.

Hello CF, I did some research today to compare Joshua to some of his contemporaries. I am curious what you guys think about about this and how you would rank these players. The big thing that stood out to me was the assist to turnover ratio. Obviously it’s difficult to compare players like Jefferson and Fizer due to the difference of their era’s.

Unemployment Benefits

I volunteered to lay off for a few weeks before the next job starts so I'm gonna get unemployment for 3-4 weeks. Has anyone else who's done this found it to be incredibly confusing and not user friendly? I swear I keep certifying my claim for the week over and over, yet when I log back in it says I still need to do it. Its almost like they intentionally do that so you'll unknowingly miss doing something for the week.

PETERSON: Regardless of records, Iowa State must be on it’s A-Game Tuesday at Kansas

Kansas coach Bill Self sends his team a blunt message before hosting Iowa State Tuesday.

In his latest column, Randy Peterson breaks down why environment, history and urgency make Tuesday night a serious test for Iowa State.

Kansas Must Be Destroyed

KU obviously not playing well right now. 1-2 in conference, and arguably should be 0-3. One of the more unique teams Self has ever had. Probably the most talented freshman he's ever had, but so far not able to get the team to play together.

I'm guessing with their backs against the wall, and the #2 team in the county coming in, they'll play well.

NFL Games on Amazon Prime

Since Amazon started streaming Thursday Night Football, I’ve noticed a big difference in video quality. It seems the games are produced in 1080p and upscaled to 4K HDR for compatible devices—how noticeable would true native 4K production be compared to upscaling?

I personally see a big difference, but some friends don’t. Curious what others think—and why more televised sports aren’t produced this way.
