I saw a Century Farms Distillery bottle of Gridiron Bourbon Whiskey earlier today. Says part of the proceeds go towards supporting the Iowa State Football team. I think that’s great. Has anyone tried this bottle and have any feedback on it?

I'm a bourbon guy and I have not tried it. If it's for a good cause I'd have no problem buying a bottle and stashing it in my cabinet. If it's a newer offering I can't imagine it being that great right away but I've drank plenty of mid bourbon brands and been happy.

It’s pretty youthful at 3 years for the age statement. I agree with you on buying it if it’s for a good cause. Would be a fun bottle to pull out on Cyclones gamedays.

I believe it only been on the shelves for a few months. Part of it does go to the gridiron club.

I requested that my local Hyvee carry it, and it's been available in Newton for a couple of months. My current bottle was aged 43 months, so it isn't as mellow as some of my favorites. However, it's still a decent whiskey. I intend to always have a bottle at home. I also really enjoy Steeple Ridge products (distilled in Shelby County). Good whiskeys from a distillery that supports CF and ISU.

Been wanting to share this with someone. Finally found some Hard Truth in Iowa and it's incredible. Double oaked, sweet mash bill, barrel proof, store pick. One of the best 70 dollar bottles I've ever had.

It great support of Iowa State, I am a bourbon lover and was excited when I purchased the Iowa produced product from HyVee......it is great support of Iowa State.

I've found bourbon or any whiskey really can be good or **** taste no matter the age or price. I'll give it a try if I can find it.
