KU obviously not playing well right now. 1-2 in conference, and arguably should be 0-3. One of the more unique teams Self has ever had. Probably the most talented freshman he's ever had, but so far not able to get the team to play together.

I'm guessing with their backs against the wall, and the #2 team in the county coming in, they'll play well.

I keep saying I'd like Iowa State to stop the slow starts, but we all know how that goes.

It's always a difficult task going on the road in Big XII, but Phog Allen is just another gym.

Kansas must be destroyed.

I think that effect is less focus and motivation on our part than our defense just wears team down mentally and physically over time. There's a reason the end of the first half and the second half usually goes better and teams rarely have the juice to make a strong push to catch up against us late in the game.

But, yeah, I'd rather we play say UConn even through ten minutes in the regional final rather than spotting them an eight-point lead that you might make up but is going to be hard against that opponent.

I think if Peterson is remotely healthy, he'll play as much as he can. He and his representation are aware of the magnitude of this game, and I'm sure there will be quite a few scouts in attendance.

I can see TJ using both Jefferson and Toure on him. Toure against Council most the other time. Should be some interesting matchups.

It seems we are coming out of half much better than in years past.

Part of our slow starts is Jefferson and Lipsey letting the game come to them. Once they feel the game out typically it’s different. Momcilovich is the same way, once he sees a shot go through the hoop he tends to go nuts for a bit until the other team adjusts.

I have been really happy with player rotations. I’d say Batemon is due for a nice game coming up, it’s been a couple games since we have heard from him. Dom Nelson was perfect yesterday in his role. I would like to see him make some things happen Tuesday.

Above all else stay healthy.

And out of early foul trouble...Refs...let Lipsey play!

I would love to stop our slow starts. We haven't looked good early since Purdue game.

Have to get them while they are down in Lawrence. BYU, Arizona, and Houston don't play there until January 31, February 9, and February 23 respectfully. They could be a much different team by then.
