We've had some pretty Key & Peele-ish names at QB.

Steele Jantz obviously but Brock/Chubba Purdy, Re-al Mitchell and even Sage Rosenfels are pretty unusual names if you'd never heard them before. Waye?

Yes. He lost the starting job to Clemson's big QB recruit. The guy is a five star and #1 QB in the country - DJ Uiagalelei

If you haven't seen it yet you should check out season 2 of QB1: Beyond the Lights on Netflix. That show makes it look very much like Mitchell's HS coaches were looking for the first excuse they could make up to replace him.

I wouldn't call Sam a miss. That kid was put through the ringer, three different OC's is pathetic.

Sam Richardson was a pretty talented player that got destroyed by his coaches.

He wasn't a success when the dust settled, but he showed more than a few flashes of his talent.

Seneca Wallace and Austen Arnaud are solid QB names too.

Chubba's real name is Preston, he got the nickname Chubba as a young child (38 lbs at 12 months) and it stuck like glue

It makes you wonder if this is set at an early age. The Pee Wee football coach gets his roster and sees "Seneca Wallace".

"You sound like a QB kid. Here's the ball. Go out there and win some games."

And the rest is history.

Not to mention getting beat up on the field.
