Would you payback your employer if they terminated you and overpaid your severance?

There ya go. Fixed.

I wish! That is why my life sucked when I was in Seattle... working 12 hour days and still not getting the job done!

Simple decimal error... 19.0 or 190. The most amazing part is that I was working 19.0 hours of overtime! Basically 12 hour days... and that happened for several months. I paid for my first HDTV (37" LCD) with overtime pay during 1 year.
I always mess up some mundane detail.

Actually, I spent 2 years working mostly 12-hour days. Then the company suddenly realized that it gets expensive to pay for that over and over and over.

Nice work on that. I wish I could be paid for reading CF, instead of doing it at home for free.

Plenty of around here are with all the posts that go on during the morning/day. People work night shifts (see: CycloneErik) but not THAT many do.

Legally, Microsoft has the right to call back the funds. And the ex-employee must return.

If I was a computer services company like that, I would never admit I screwed up. What are they thinking?

If they signed a severance agreement, there would be terminology as to how much they would get paid. Hence, if you agreed to receive a certain amount, you would not be entitled to anything more...

I think legally they have the right to do it, but it's pretty sad that this is how we are in today's times.
