I am guessing somewhere on the site it says something positive about Pollard, that is why he thinks it's the worst.

Site was easy to use. Very flashy for younger kids. Impressive facilities. Too bad they don't have a football team.

Again Monty... Your wrong. I seem to notice a pattern around here Hibbard. Do you have a negative look at everything?? I swear your real name is Bruce Van De Velde

Looks like a great idea to me, can't see it having much of a negative effect, if a net negative at all. I would love to see an example of what the OP would call a good recruiting website. The only positive that Brewster has had going for him is his perception as a good recruiter.

I agree it is a great idea, I just don't like the nav bar on it, other than that it's a great site.

The intro was pretty bad. Maybe BlackHeartGoldPants wasn't too far off..

Tim BrewsterTweets - Black Heart Gold Pants

(Yes, I know it's a Hawk blog, but it is also a hilarious Hawk blog.)
I happily read BHGP every couple of months. I always wind up laughing until I drool. I love every one of Paterno's conversations. I don't care if it's written by Hawks, it's hilarious writing.

For example, you NEEEEED to read/see these:

I am literally crying right now.

It's a great website if you're hawking Ginsu knives or a garish hotel/casino. It's pathetic for recruiting student-athletes to a major university. Way over-the-top self promotion by Brewster. Lots of style, no substance. There are reasons there are no "play4mackbrown", "play4urbanmeyer", "play4joepaterno", or any similar websites for programs run by mature, successful coaches. Any recruit who makes a life-changing decision based on that is not someone I would want on my team...not to mention someone who will likely not belong academically at even the U of M anyway.

I agree with you, if that is reason a recruit picks Minnesota something is wrong. However, if that site is an addition to his recruiting it is a plus, and it seems he has had no problem bringing in some decent classes the last couple years, now only if he could coach. Comparing old school coaches and programs such as those above to a Minnesota is not a fair comparison, finding the current trends and edge is a must, while staying within the rules (Lane Kiffen). I know I just wasted my time with this post but what the heck, slow Sunday night.

I like the site. Why not have it? I doubt there are any kids out there making decisions based solely on a website, but it is a nice little addition. I also don't know what Montys comment about the academic validity of U of M. It's a pretty good school. I didn't check the rankings but since it's in the Big Ten I would venture to guess it is above us academically.

Some of the comments are hilarious:

"Is this plot line taken from Scientology scripture?"

"We need to either bow down to, or kill all polar bears right now. They are definitely some violent mother f-ers. I think we now understand what led to the Exxon Valdez...some freaking bear chopped it in half in a fit of underwater rage."

"If you are insinuating that making a video of a polar bear going on a destructive intergalactic rampage is somehow a waste of one's time, I couldn't disagree more."

"15 explosions and a plot that makes little to no sense... keep up the good work Mr. Bay!"

"Intergalactic polar bear jihad?"

"This brings tears to my eyes. Pure awesome. Die, random ship, DIE!"

The entire Big Ten is substantially above us, academically. Minnesota is in the upper-middle of the conference, IIRC.
