I live in Wyoming, but this was terrible from 2009-2013

Well, what are you going to do with school colors that literally belong together in a toilet bowl?

As far as teams who use camo patterns when showing support to the troops, I pretty much give them a free pass as camo in it self is a terrible pattern no matter what. Camo is not meant to be stylish or fashionable. It's meant to be tactical. Sorry ladies who wear pink camo. Not useful unless your hiding in a fun house, or up against a Mary Kay car.

I think it is primarily hunting camouflage and deer don't see reds, oranges and greens very well so camo that has bright splashes of pink or orange in them are effective camo for deer hunting while still being more visible to humans reducing the chance of being mistaken for a target by other hunters.

Oh, man- I'm not an ASU fan, but I hate that they got rid of Sparky. This:

Was a classic look. Arizona State football demanded respect at one time. Then they tried to be Oregon. Gross.

Yes, classic. I don't mind the pitchfork helmet in itself, but like you say, going too-Oregon with the alternate-overkill detracts from any upside it has.

A couple of observations regarding Tulane helmet, which I posted earlier in the thread.

(1) The "Mean Wave" cartoon mascot may seem silly, but that in itself isn't the problem. Problem: It doesn't work on a helmet. Viewed from any normal distance, the logo loses definition until it resembles nothing. (ISU's Cy-nado lid suffered from this).

(2) Was there something so terribly wrong with the helmet below that call for an extreme overhaul?
