It's 8k people without stadium concrete to trap the sound.

And the sound all going one direction.

And don't most parks have at least some outfield stands that 'centralize' the sound?

The studio had filmed a Richard Gere movie the previous summer in Worthington which is five miles south of Dyersville, and were scouting sites for "Shoeless Joe" at the same time--they had just bought the rights to it.

The Gere movie was called Miles From Home and Gere secretly lived with one of my classmate's family for several weeks to learn how to play a farmer before filming started.

I am assuming since there were no natural barriers to concern themselves with in the outfield, that the dimensions of the field are what MLB considers ideal for big league players.

MLB has be loving how this is turning out. You know they wanted a few homers into the corn and were scared to death a 3-2 homerless game would end up occurring.

True, however, Mr. Gopher Ball, Heaney, is pitching for the Yanks. There was no way he won't give up 2 to 5 homers. He's only on the roster because so many peeps be injured or coivd IL. He'll be gone soon when they come back. LOL at how many runs the Red Sox will light him up for if he is still on the team next week.
