I said Elite Eight. This team is just AT LEAST just as good as last year's team. Recency bias is killing you. We're a better road team than we were last year.

I don't know if we'll make the Elite Eight but that's about our ceiling, I think. No idea right now. Totally depends on matchups.

We forget that a lot of success in the tourney is seed and luck. We need to finish strong and win at least two in the Big 12 tourney. Do this and we get a good seed. Get a good seed and could be sweet 16 or better. I think a good way to look at this from a sane perspective is to consider if you would like to have to play ISU in the tourney. Don't think many teams would want to.

First round bounce. NO way this team has shown any intestinal fortitude this season to go any further. There is no leader on this team and we have too many wanna be all stars thinking of themselves. Said that early in the season and got ripped.

You should be ripped. Big man behind a keyboard, aye? If what you say is true, we shouldn't have been ranked for so darn long this year, or been in the top half of the league, or continued our streak of 20-win seasons, or......... Idk, maybe they will get bounced first round and you can come on here and gloat, but until then this team deserves our support. I hope you don't come to games.

Question...I will be in Omaha for the second part of March working. Is our likely hood of playing at Century link center in Downtown Omaha done? No 3rd seed right? Probably 5th seed?

Still like the pieces this teams has. I think they have the talent (offensively) to hang with anyone. Never know what could happen with a nice run in KC. Maybe this team starts playing defense at a high level.

According to the poll it appears less people are drinking kool-aid with a skewed right tail distribution of kool-aid drinkers. Drink kool-aid at your own risk.

No, still a very good chance at a 3 seed. We probably wont get Omaha anymore but Wisconsin and Kansas were probably going to get to play there even if we won yesterday

I think we will be a 4 seed and see us losing to a 5 seed in the second round. I think we play the 13 close.

I will not be surprised with 2 wins.

I will be surprised if we lose the first game.

I think we're a Sweet 16 team. Anything can happen in the tournament, but I think the offense is going to look a lot better once they get out of the familiarity of the B12.

Nothing would surprise me between losing in the first round and the elite 8. Final 4 would surprise me.

If ISU can still drop to a 5 (that'd be the lowest), drawing the wrong 12 matchup could be doom. If it's still 4 or 3, an upset wouldn't shock me, but I think we'd get through that one OK, then as CoKane said, find a way to lose to the 5/6.

Edit -- I'll be more specific. Suppose it's a 4 seed. In order of likelihood, I'd say:
1. Two and out, loss to 5 seed
2. Sweet 16
3. Two and out, loss to 12 seed
4. One and done
5. Elite 8 or better

Almost 60% for a first or 2nd round exit?

The faithful aren't setting the bar very high. Better vote "meh" in that other poll
