I'm currently watching The Pitt on MAX. New episodes every week, they've released four episodes so far.

John Wells and Noah Wyle bringing back ER, updated for 2025, and my goodness is it graphic. They also weave in a bit of "24" because each episode is one hour in the day. We're up to the 10:00 hour now.

I've really enjoyed it so far. They certainly don't shy away from anything. This is an HBO show, not an NBC one.

I'm curious... We watched it a few nights ago. Love the concept and cast and really liked the first half but then it got too out there.
Agree. It really went off the rails about 2/3rd the way through.

We just started watching "The Great" on Hulu. It's been on our list to watch for a while, but hadn't gotten around to it. Hilarious. The two main characters are just wonderful together. Really looking forward to watching the rest of the series

Just watched Here. Went in with low expectations since the hype died quickly. Had to watch since it was Tom Hanks. Thought it was interesting in an artsy way due to maintaining one camera angle in one place throughout. Had some intentions on some powerful emotions, but didn't quite pull it off.

Unstoppable (on Netflix) is a good movie.

Based on the true story of wrestler Anthony Robles.

Based on the true story or telling the true story? Cause these sort of shows tend to sensationalize the actual story into something it’s not.

Started watching this and two episodes through. It’s intriguing but not quite catching me as much as like a Severance. Wife is liking it more than me.

Looks like it’s done by the same guy who did This Is Us, and it uses some of the same cliches to pull at the heartstrings that eventually turned me off that show too.

Just watched the 3 episodes. I was feeling the Under the dome vibe almost immediately. I'm also feeling the outside world didn't experience the extinction everyone thought it did.

Watched the 1st 3 episodes this weekend, wife & I loved it & wished there were more than 3 episodes at this point. Do they just release one every week, think we saw Tuesday?

Also started watching this over the weekend. Agree on the hilarity, and that the characters are great together. We're over halfway thru the 1st season.

The SNL50 shows on Peacock have been great. SNL50 Beyond Saturday Night has four very different, hourish long episodes. The first episode is about the five minute audition everyone goes through to get on. It was hilarious watching past cast members watch their audition from years ago. Also very interesting seeing some now very famous comedians audition that didn’t get on like Jim Carrey, Stephen Colbert, and Donald Glover.

There is an also an episode about the writers’ process the week leading to the show, an entire episode about the cowbell skit, and one on the lost year which I didn’t know much about. It’s a separate show on Peacock and aired on NBC last week but the two hour documentary on the 50 years of SNL music was phenomenal.

Thank you for the recommendation.

The first four episodes are off to a great start. Great performances and well written characters. I get the sense that I'm being told too explicitly too early who the bad guys are and who the good guys are. One character in particular is just not adding up with her behavior.

Anyhow, I have to wait 5 days for episode 5 to drop. So there's plenty of time to mull it over.

Ha, yeah, which makes me wonder when the twist breaks. Lots of theories.

We're about three seasons into What We Do in the Shadows, and we're really loving it for the random break between other series we watch and movies.

It's just so quirky in all the best ways that we haven't seen an episode yet where we didn't find something to laugh about. It's almost like a comedian with a great delivery, even when a line isn't great, it will still make you laugh.

I think after season 3 it starts to drop off a bit. They get too interested in having a season plot and it loses its charm with the randomness of each episode.
