With the loss of Royce, I think we should be around 20 wins. I think a lot of it depends on Korie and Will honestly. Thoughts?

All of them. But especially Will Clyburn. He was fun to watch at CCL in the summer. He can do everything. Lucious is quick/can shoot. I don't know much about the recruits except that Niang is going to be good because he follows me on twitter. Nobody really knows about recruits....remember the time when people thought sledge would step in and start?

I wanted to put Niang, since I'm very excited to see the kind of player he will be. But I ended up putting Will since he only has one year and everyone seems to be gushing about him.

My expectations are a lot higher than 20 wins. I'd be happy with 22 or 23 wins going into the conference tournament. I'm a positive thinker to a fault sometimes though...

I figured that if Royce left, we'd probably have an equivalent season. If we get a good interior player somehow, it could be higher.

Voted for Clyburn, but I'm excited about all of them !

I think 20-23 wins is realistic expectation. Right now I would guess we win 1 or 2 more in the non-conference and lose 1 or 2 more in the conference. Of course, I don't know what the schedule is for next year, nor do we know exactly who will be on the team. But I think that is a good start.

If Fred says that Clyburn had the most NBA potential of anyone on last year's roster (including some guy named Royce Taylor), that's good enough for me.

I went to all the home games this year and I don't remember Royce Taylor. Is he related to Mike White? :wideeyed:

Clyburn without a doubt. Great all around player with decent defense. Can score from pretty much everywhere and has nice ups. Has NBA potential too.

If he does what he did at Utah..watch out.

Honorable mentions are pretty much any freshman and Sledge if he stays.

Definitely most excited to see Clyburn play.

But I'm most intrigued to see Niang and how his game fits at a college level. I think he could be an absolute stud.

I think this paired with Royce talking him up in his interview made me excited for Clyburn so I voted for him. However I really want to Lucious succeed.

We need Will to be the most productive out of the bunch for us to succeed next year. I think he'll need to average around 16 or 17 points to make up for Royce being gone. That's why I picked him.

I can only hope that the new guys coming in don't see this forum. All 6 of those players are better playmakers than anyone in the McDermott era (except Brackins and Garrett.)

I can agree with you. I hate playing the favorite(s) vote, because I'm rather excited to see all of them play as a team, not just one person. And I agree with Fred, things are just going to get better from here!
