For me it has to be OSU. Started school in '96 so I have endured an onslaught of nut kicks over the years. Watching that game live...you realized we were close but man things just weren't going our way. Then it did...It was a surreal experience there on the field, just pure joy. I'm not ashamed to say it brought me to tears, like I couldn't even celebrate hard enough. You don't even know what to do but just yell, scream, and high five/hug every stranger you see. Getting goosebumps right now just recalling it.

mine was my first trip to the stadium in 1995. First game of the year against Ohio. Won the game, tore the posts down and put them in Lake LaVerne. Good times.

I have two. Seeing "the Run" live! It was awesome!

Second is a more lengthy moment. The year is 1999 and I am a freshman at ISU. My buddy is visiting and we were running late to the game. ISU was taking on the purple kitties that day, and as my buddy and I are entering the stadium, a guy from Apple Jacks approached with a box of mouse pads. He said they had been giving them away but since the game was about to start could we take them into the stadium and pass them out in the student section for him. We said sure. The purple kitties were were ranked 15th, ISU was 3-0 and in the first half ISU was giving them the business. Since my buddy and I were late, we went directly to the upper deck of the student section. On the way up we passed out mouse pads in mass. When ISU scored their first TD, something unexpected happened. Those apple shaped Apple Jack mouse pads well they were excellent frisbees. And when the ISU player crossed the goal line a flood of mouse pads rained down on lower level of the student section. It was at this point my buddy and I determined we better leave the evidence (the box) behind and move somewhere else in the student section. On the second TD more mouse pads rained down on the lower level and some reached the cheerleaders in front of the student section. This happened on the next two TDs as well. Unfortunately ISU gave up 35 unanswered second half points and lost 35-28. But I will always remember being responsible for one of the coolest TD celebrations in ISU history. Well it was cool for me, maybe not those that got hit with mouse pads, or the grounds crew who had to pick all them up.

2. OSU upset

3. Pink Floyd - 1994

4. U2

5. Rolling Stones - 1994

6. Rolling Stones - 1989 - fell asleep as I was young and tired, that's what you do.

Memorable, though not in a good way. K-State game in 1999. We're up 28-7 and I went to the parking lot at halftime and proceeded to get wrecked. Woke up in our tailgating bus hours later parked at the house. I come inside and the party is raging. I'm ready to party after our big win over a ranked team..........
I don't remember if it was the tying TD or the go ahead TD, but it was a David Allen return that had the most blatant clip you'll ever see right in front of Allen in open field. Everybody in the stadium saw it except the guys with yellow hankies in their pockets.

Nebraska in 2002 which was also my freshman year. Had only been to a handful of games before that and they mostly resulted in big losses. Was the first time I experienced exciting college football in person.

The 2010 Nebraska game was memorable because it was the only time I have left a game following an Iowa State loss and the excitement of the game outweighed the disappointment of a loss.

One that I haven't seen yet is the win over Iowa in 2001. With the original game date in September cancelled due to 9/11, the game was played the Saturday after Thanksgiving for the only time I can remember. Both teams were sitting on 6 wins, and as I recall there was some doubt as to whether either one would get a bid without the 7th win. Celebrating a bowl birth and drinking up some hawk tears was a great way to finish off a long holiday weekend.

That game just reinforced my belief that this series would be even better if it was always at the end of the season.

Iowa State 19 Nebraska 10

I was 14 years old and had been going to games for as long as I can remember. My sister was a student at the time and was dating a guy who attended Westmar College in LeMars. At some point during the game I went from my parents seats to stand with my sis in the student section. I'll never forget the Seiler run.

As time was ticking off the clock late in the game we jumped the wall and lined the field. My sister leaned down and said to meet at the Victory Bell by the locker room since she knew we'd get separated. Before the clock hit zero the rush for the goalposts was on.

I'm not sure how much time passed but as the field started to clear I made my way to the Victory Bell. I saw her boyfriend there and we exchanged high fives and hugs with every random person around. My sister never showed up.

We started walking around looking for her. I noticed an ambulance on the field and a crowd surrounding something down on the field. We joked that, knowing my sisters luck, it was her on the ground (she got in a car accident earlier that week and was EXTREMELY lucky to be unharmed).

As I got closer to the scene I saw a team of people working on my sister, trying to help her breath. She was purple and not breathing. Someone behind her fell and grabbed a hold of her, taking her down as well. The rush of students kept piling on. Something was forced against her trachea and caused it to collapse.

She was in intensive care for a few days and remained in the hospital for quite some time. She's recovered 100% now. At the time I didn't realize just how scary the situation was but I know I'm lucky my sister is alive and well with three kids.

I was there maybe 10 yards away and saw her on the ground after the pile got off her. While it was happening there was nothing anyone could do. The crowd was moving toward the goal post and just stopped with the pressure from behind of the oncoming crowd pushing forward. It was so scary I have never seen someone turn so blue. I have never forgotten that and another time when the falling goal post hit someone and have warned people in my seating area many a time do not let your kids or unprepared smaller females, like my daughter, to go on the field to rush the goal post stay back because there is nothing you can do when you are sweep up in the wave of the mob. From time to time people will talk about that incident and wonder what happened to her, I am glad to hear everything turned out alright for her.
