I've been a RABID fan of ISU for over 4 decades, so sports haven't been necessarily kind to me up to this point in time. I do feel the winds of change blowing though, the best times are coming. But for me, the ABSOLUTE, most enduring memory for me is seeing Pink Floyd June 16 in 94, on the "Pulse" tour. If you look it up there is actually a bootleg from the Ames concert, but Pulse is "high" quality. Just wondering how many others saw this spectacular show, or what your favorite memory is from our under-rated venue.

Testifying
Mine was seeing the OSU cheerleaders bring out the crystal ball and posing with it while holding up a Weeden for Heisman sign.
We were down quite a bit and I looked at my wife and said they just jinxed themselves.

In high school we took a field trip to the stadium. Someone bet me $10 I couldn't touch the goalpost because they apparently didn't know how high they were. I jumped up on hung on them, looking down with a smirk. I let go and realized I didn't fall as far as I had jumped up. There were only three or four of us out there and one of them says "you bent the goalposts". Ummmm....what? I didn't realize they were breakaway/pivot/whatever. Sure enough, the goalposts were turned off to the side.

Everyone else was inside. We hightailed it back in there, spent a little more time touring, everyone got on the bus. When our teacher got on the bus everyone got an ***-chewing but no one ratted me out. I did get my $10.

We had an alcohol induced FG kicking contest in there at 3am in college. Lucky we didn't get arrested. I wish I could say it was memorable. I don't remember much about it.

The game vs Colorado when an actual tornado showed up.

That game, but the specific play that won it... Forget who it was, but one of our defensive lineman picked Colorado off. Their running back was chasing him down the field, with him looking up at the mini-Jumbotron to know just the right moment to swerve to miss the tackle from behind at his knees. The roar from the crowd with that play and victory was incredible.

Then we went and stepped on a rake against KU the next week.

We're still Iowa State in the end. :/

I think that was Brent Curvey, right?

EDIT: Yep, go to 1:20.

My favorite Cyclone moment was at the Insight.com bowl when Iowa State got their first bowl victory, over Pittsburgh. Obviously it wasn't in Ames, but very memorable with the likes of Sage, Reggie Hayward, and the late, great Ennis Haywood.

Tough. Was there when we beat OSU and that was great. Still think I enjoyed watching Seneca Wallace, Ennis Haywood and crew thump Nebraska more...

Seneca's Heisman Run. Was the very first life ISU game I'd ever been to. I think what I screamed was "throw it away! Throw it away! What the **** are you doing?! Throw it away! No! No.....run! Run! **** yeah! Oh my god!"
