Really guys, I did apologize in the title. I just wanted to know if anyone was thinking Fred should just have the stones to say yes I am leaving or no I am staying, and if the fact that he wasn't was making anyone loose some respect for the guy.

I don't know about you, but I tend to avoid making definitive statements like that until I actually know what I'm going to do. It can absolutely be as simple as Hoiberg is considering making the leap, but hasn't made a decision yet. If, before he's actually decided anything, he says he's staying and then bolts, you and everyone else would hate his guts. If he says he's gone and then changes his mind and stays, he risks burning NBA bridges down the road.

That he is on the fence?

What does saying that accomplish? It's what any reasonable person would assume is the case, and anyone who too distraught to grasp that already would go off the deep end by taking "maybe" as "yes."

In other words, we'd be right where we are right now.

You're losing respect for someone who hasn't publically stated that he wants a job (and would accept a job) that somebody else currently has.

Would you go to your boss tomorrow and tell them that you will be leaving your job as soon as you get an offer that you are expecting from another company, and that they should start advertising for your replacement.
Damn Bulls. They are now pepsquiks in the world of sports. They are a big pain in the butt in their front office and it echoes to ames. My guess is pelicans do not want to pay the draft pick and will wait them out.

We're devouring everyone right now. Starting a thread is just standing yourself up as the target. Starting a thread on a topic that's beaten to death makes you an easy mark.

I can't say I didn't expect it, but I will point the question directly to you then. Are you at all losing any respect for the way Fred is choosing to handle this? Me personally the answer is yes. Ready go

There are only two options at this point:
1) fred is sure he is staying. Might as well just say it. Since he hasn't...
2) fred is leaving or is seriously thinking about leaving and can't talk about it.

since #1 hasn't happened then in essence he is saying #2.

I'm saying this is crazy..but call me maybe...

I can't believe people think he hasn't made a decision yet. He is already gone. It just isn't official yet because the 2 teams in play still have coaches. He is gone. Accept it and move on please.

Fred's neighbor told me the Hoiberg household decided to drop their cable and internet, sooooooo he probably has no idea about the rumors.

Or it could be another one of them Jaime Pollard smoke screens they talk about around here.

Under normal circumstances, I woulda been melting down like the rest of you, but I'm wiped out from being the dad of a 1 year old. I have no energy to even be worked up about this. Besides if FH leaves, JP will be able to reel in a big time coach as a replacement.

I'm surprisingly calm about this. Probably a result from reading this forum during the summer of 2010 when it was a virtual certainty the Big 12 was going to dissolve.

With Fred, I won't be surprised either way. Disappointed if he leaves, obviously, but not surprised

Watch the "respect" word, I mentioned that yesterday and thought for sure a few posters were going to lose it!!! As it turns out I'm not the only one after all. hahaha - Maybe a month from now we'll all be happy again, we can only hope.

Im with you. I definitely do not like the way this is being handled by our ICON. Not at all. Im all about just being straight up honest. And while he hasn't been dishonest, no one is being straight forward. Not how l personally do anything in personal life or business.

Everyone in the sports world continues to hide behind not wanting to make headlines. The I personally feel its very uncomfortable and don't want to talk about it. Or the "our current coach isn't tech fired yet." Come on, don't treat everyone like a bunch of idiots.
