What is going on for TV in CR

Cedar Rapids has a Big 12 affiliate - KFXA - who says they have no idea if they are showing the game. So if a place has an affiliate, but it says its not showing that game would it still be blacked out on ESPNU? No one knows.

Past practice says it will be blacked out!

Not in CR but up my way Dish already has ESPNU blacked out for tonight. Won't let me set up a timer to record it on DVR.

Of course I don't get the subchannels unless I plug in the over air antenna. Guess I'm spending my dinner break in the basement tonight. Wife is gonna love that!

Do you have Direct or Dish? My Direct TV let me set up the recording on ESPNU and MASN

I emailed ESPN asking for the blackout map, but I don't expect to hear back.

So basically, no one has any answer if the game is on in Cedar Rapids. Sweet.

The Big12 Network is abysmal. Sounds like this is going to be the final year so fingers crossed that we don't have problems like this next year.

This happened to me in Indy a few weeks back on a weeknight game on Big 12. Was able to get it on espn3 no problem (I can't normally get games on ESPN3 when specifically aired on ESPNU because my Brighthouse package doesn't carry it.)

Watching it on Firstrowsports because ESPNU says B12 tournament, but shows SEC. Local affiliate KFXA is showing HS basketball. Iowa State needs to revisit that contract with the local affiliate. This has burned us before.

Why would I want that hassle when FirstRow is free with probably as good of broadcast quality as Cyclone.TV on Mediacom in CR.

Besides, Mediacom and KFXA should get the word that I'm switching to DirecTV. At least I know what channels to look for there when the local affiliate has things messed up, and its free with my normal bill.
