A little off topic, but for Hilton Coliseum, the loudest that place ever got was Osenbaugh pinning Banach and it’s not even close.

For Clyde Williams, that honor would go in 1972 when Amundson hit willie Jones in the corner of the end zone with 35 seconds left to tie No. 3 Nebraska, 23-23. Largest crowd there and the crowd stormed the field before we missed the extra point.

#1 2011 vs. OSU Stadium was as electric as Hilton vs...........OSU in 1992.
#2 2005 vs. Iowa. For a relatively close score, the game really wasn't close. ISU bullied Iowa for hours on end. Crowd loved it!

For reference, I have attended every home game but one (vs. UNI in 2013) since 2004.

As others have mentioned, I do think the 4th down stop against OSU in 2021 might be the loudest single moment of a game I have attended.

For an under the radar game: The KSU home loss in 2012 is another sneaky game with loud moments. It has since been overshadowed by a lot of moments in the Campbell era, but I use to say it was the loudest game I had ever attended.

This imo is the best way to watch the TCU 2017 game to get a full feel for the crowd (along with seeing how plays do or don't develop) and repeating for the 50th time but I wish this view were more available in general.

2:26:50 is the sealing INT.

This view also shows how great Montgomery was. Run blocking was horrible and we are running read option action with Kempt.

UCF this year was pretty damn loud when Rocco punched it in and the ensuing 2PC.

I was in my student manager days for the 2017 game against TCU but it was very loud down on the sideline.

2018 against WVU for some reason will always have a soft spot for me. That game was so damn fun start to finish

This was the best atmosphere of any night game I was ever at. It was a few years after I was out of school, and remember driving up from DM and sitting hillside next to the student section. We didn't win and it wasn't a great Nebraska or ISU team but everyone was jacked up for it. I remember thinking it was the loudest if ever heard JTS. Better than Iowa 99, Nebraska 02, or the tornado game vs CU.

The first night game ever at JTS (Cyclone Stadium) on 1020/1984 was really loud as we came oh so close to knocking off 2nd ranked Oklahoma on ESPN. There were no rules about lots opening 6 hours before game time back then AND you could bring all the bota's filled with booze you wanted into the stadium. I think I drank myself sober that day!

For more recent times, I agree with others, 2017 TCU, 2018 WV, 2021 OK St,, and 2024 UCF really were loud moments. The Texas games in 2019 and 2021 were awesome as well. 2019 with a last second field goal and 2021 night game where we dominated from start to finish. That 2021 game also spawned the acronym SAMSUBA.

Sometimes it is games that you don't think of that are the loudest. The 2002 KU game at Hilton was as loud as I've ever heard it that building. The corners of the balcony were sparse too. My ears rang for 2 days. It was louder than Hilton was either of the 2 seasons prior when we won Back to back titles.

Jeff Braswell was a one man wrecking crew in that Oklahoma night game.

I’m sure it wasn’t the loudest…because the stadium setup wasn’t conducive for that back in the day, but my most memorable moment is probably Marv Seiler running for a 70-some yard run against Nebraska….eventually leading to that big upset victory. Awesome play and epic win.

I’ve always said I felt like the 2017 game against #4 TCU was the first time I truly felt like the crowd played a significant role in a home win. To be honest we may have regressed a little since then but that kicked off a streak of intense and loud home crowds
I happened to be there, pretty early for goose bumps this morning.

That was an incredible atmosphere to start the game. The team pretty well fell apart, but Jack Trice was absolutely insane that night, at least for awhile.
