OH, that's right, I forgot about the Packers, not used to seeing them win games. Thanks for the correction.

Hmm, those back to back Super bowl appearances were not that long ago. When was the last time that the Vikings did that?

uhh -yes those back to back WERE that long ago, sorry! :) My kids have all Packers relatives and they have maybe seen the Pack win 1-2 Playoff games I think in their 7 and 9 years... d'oh!

7-9 years isn't recent?!?! Don't let the massive Cowboy contingent on here hear you - they're still reveling in the glory of their "recent" SBs.

Good thing that they got to see the best QB that will ever live.

I traded Ronnie Brown earlier this week (with the "throw-in reciever" Bowe) and watched both of them light it up.

Then I watched my effective RB#1, Lamont Jordan leave the game in the 2nd quarter possibly for the season.

Bad day.

I'd been watching Bowe for a couple weeks while he was in the 'yard'. When he went off yesterday I didn't hesitate to snag him...the guy is an amazing WR. I'm also thrilled that I had the foresight on draft day to draft Adrian Peterson. He's single handedly kept my team going (along with Chad Johnson). Thank God for Peterson because my other RB (Gore) has been pretty much a bust so far. Picked up Brandon Jacobs too as a "RB with possible potential". If he doesn't regain form then no big deal. Desparately need a good QB though. Brees is pathetic so far. :skeptical:

i would have to say i was thinking the same thing on sunday afternoon, this could be the most uneventful football season since last year for my clones and vikes. the clones need to start thinking about the future as far as the QB. Meyer with the exception of a few moments has been ineffective, lets give the young guys some PT let them learn the system and divison 1 football in the big 12. as for the vikes their QB situation is very, very bad, even Meyer doesn't miss open receivers as bad as Holcomb. Jackson isn't much better, i say we get Seneca Wallace from the Seahawks. he may be a little short and throw some picks but at least he delivers some good passes, make things happen. Holcomb can't even get a pass off with 10 secs in the pocket.

Amen. I believe Tony Romo is our guy. We'll really show what we're about against New England. GO CYCLONES! GO COWBOYS!

I'm a huge Cowboys fan, but I don't know that I'm expecting victory in that game. Moss torches Dallas no matter what uniform he's wearing, and the Cowboys are going to have to get out of their first half offensive funks if they want to win that game, I'm afraid. I don't think we'll completely shut them down in the first half, and I don't like the idea of palying behind in the second half either.

It could be worse for you. You could be a Bears fan like me! Hopefully the Bears will patch together a decent lineup by next Sun. night and hand the Pack their first loss. Nobody is out of the race yet in the NFC North IMO. Green Bay has no running game and sooner or later that will catch up to them.

Neither does Chicago.

nicely done ...

Neither does Detroit for that matter. For such a fabled "hard-nosed" "grind-it-out" division they're all resorting to the air with the exception of the vikes.

unfortunately the NFL is a passing league now and the vikes can't do that with their current QB situation. we will not be competative with any of our current QB's and the rest of the team is probably better at every position other than QB's and recievers. pretty sad really, 1 or 2 people from being possibly a really good team.

Who will win between the vikes and the bears? The teams are similar....no offense and big time defense play makers.

Yeah, wow, nicely done. I write a post ripping my own team and you pile on. Freakin' genius. FYI, Green Bay averages only 54 yards a game rushing while the Bears average 83, so apparently they have a better rushing attack than the darlings of the NFL who will no doubt go undefeated because of the great Brett Favre hugging everyone on the field after every completion. Green Bay's a paper tiger.

You're mistaking me for a Packer fan. Far from it. I'm a Cowboys fan, and since Green Bay is the only other undefeated team in the conference, they're the enemy.

While Green Bay doesn't have a very good running game, they're also not trying to run the ball at the moment. Chicago is and they can't.

The previous poster who said that the lack of running game could hurt Green Bay when the whether gets colder brought up an excellent point.

Paper tiger or not, the Packers are 4-0, Bears 1-3. I guess we'll find out who is the better team in the North this weekend...as Green Bay plays host to the Bears Sunday night.

Just guessing here, but I'll bet the Bears will slightly out-rush the Packers, but still be short on the scoreboard.

It doesn't matter though. Dallas is 1-0 against the pair, hopefully to be 2-0 against 'em by the end of November. ;)
