I'll just say as long as there are fans in AFH, there are still Big 12 officials and Bill Self is coaching KU, I will always be shocked if/when Weber manages to get a KSU team over the hump playing a road game at Kansas.

I'd think the Weber narrative would die at some point but perhaps it's so ingrained now that it's a brain lesion for some of you guys. K-State has won 7 straight in the B12 after putting a dagger in Ku's heart last night. They lost the last two in AFH by a walk and a hoop.

Perhaps you missed this portion of my previous post:

KSU has a grand total of 1 win in Allen Field House since the inception of the Big 12 conference. That was in 2006 - quite some time before Bruce Weber was ever coach at KSU.

Good time to revisit power ranking here at week's end.

  1. K-State - wins over both ISU away and Ku at home
  2. ISU - I'd call this a 1,a/1,b placement with my homerism listed first
  3. Ku - only because of AFH not the quality of their team or coach
  4. Texas - have to appreciate their length and handling Baylor
  5. TxT - but it's close with da Bears
  6. BU - too small as shown in Austin, will fade
  7. TCU - Jamie not winning any awards this year
  8. OU - need a S&C coach, methinks
  9. oSu - just missed at TCU last night
  10. WVU - lost his team?
Actual:

Big 12 W-L GB PCT W-L PCT STRK
K-State 7-2 -- .778 17-5 .773 W2
#17 Iowa State 7-3 .5 .700 18-5 .783 W4
Baylor 6-3 1 .667 15-7 .682 L1
#13 Ku 6-4 1.5 .600 17-6 .739 L1
#18 Texas Tech 6-4 1.5 .600 18-5 .783 W1
Texas 5-5 2.5 .500 13-10 .565 W1
TCU 4-5 3 .444 16-6 .727 W1
Oklahoma 3-7 4.5 .300 15-8 .652 L3
Oklahoma State 2-7 5 .222 9-13 .409 L2
West Virginia 2-8 5.5 .200 10-13 .435 L1

Ranked by likelihood to win conference:

Iowa St. - Because all the rankings currently have us most likely to win the league and I believe them
Kansas St. - Excellent defensively, hot garbage offensively and still has away games at Texas, Baylor, and Kansas. Also, I can't stand surly's history of poor font choices and would be happy to see them finish 4th or worse for that reason alone.
Kansas - Bad on the road but one of the easier schedules the rest of the way
Texas Tech - Elite defensively, poor offensively
Baylor - Decent on both ends of the floor
Texas - Almost no chance
TCU - No chance
Oklahoma - " "
Oklahoma St. - " "
West Virginia - " "
