Just finished the finale and loved it. Only complaint is 9 episodes wasn’t enough to fully build out the character bonds. But understand they have to balance “boring” and “action” in this day and age. Agree with @alarson - should have been 10-12 episode but if your biggest complaint is that it wasn’t long enough, that’s a damn good show.
Trying to play the game on PS5, I remember why shooter should never ever ever be played on a console. Ugh.

They said when they were play-testing the first game they did some polling of the people testing it on that question.
Among those without kids it was roughly 50\50.
Among those with kids, it was 100% agreeing with Joel's decision.
I see they released a soundtrack for the series. At first glance looks like all the same song that were on the game soundtracks.

How it was presented I’m 100% with Joel. Had Ellie been asked and told the ramifications of such a decision and agreed to do it, I’d be against Joel. They didn’t ask, they just tried to take. For me this is an easy moral decision. It also helped those guys were bullying the **** out of him as they scooted him off prem.
I haven’t read this thread in three weeks and we are catching up on the last two eps. Just came here to say the preacher in episode 8 is ******* terrifying.
I felt the rather brief nine episodes was way too sparse for the amount of time and ground covered, but I’ll take it for something this good.

I tried, it has just such horrific controls. It comes out on PC in a month so I think I will just get it there.
The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the best playing 3rd person action games ever made. The old version of The Last of Us on PS3/PS4 is not quite as good, but still pretty dang solid. I believe the new version on PS5 has updated to be more like Part 2.
