anyone else heard of the grove? i just signed to live their next year! wonderin if anyone else is too? i need a couple roommates actually and who better to live with than my fellow fanatics...

Sure its new, nice, and has amenities, but why someone would want to live in basically a freddy court version 2.0 albeit not owned by the university with a few more restrictions is beyond me?

Last time I checked, about a month ago, those buildings didn't look anywhere close to being done. Are they built now?

it does come with a pool, free tanning, workout facility, private bathrooms, game rooms. thats what got me was the private bathrooms. It is a little ways from campus but i know a lot of football players are living there which is kinda cool to me.

I live in Freddy and personally love it. More students are looking for the higher end all inclusive type of place and this is exactly it. If it weren't so far from campus (I have a tendency to hit the snooze a few times) I would think about it.

The only cool things about The Grove would be it being new and much nicer than other apartment and dorms. Also its really pretty close for tailgating.

I remember seeing the original thread... this reminded me of sterling.

Hopefully the quality of the buildings is better. The utilities were ridiculously high in our place the one year i was there.

I'm seriously considering a move from Buchanan Hall to Freddy (or someplace else) since the a/c is currently out in Buchanan, and they're doing nothing to fix it.

I'm not a germophobe or clean freak by any stretch. But coming into a common bathroom and being greeted by well-aged dueces from time to time makes a private bathroom VERY attractive.

I do prefer to age my own dueces and not have to rely on others to do it correctly
