But then the conference isn't getting any of the TV revenue from their appearance, so it's a bad call to do so.

I'm talking about the Big 12 championship. ESPN should still have to pay for that. I don't think the payout from that game is dependent on eyes on the screen.

i'd hope JP and whoever is the headmaster at KU are eating some runzas right now plotting
Or maybe some Taco's (Southwest PAC), or perhaps Seattle Dogs (Northwest PAC).

Then what would be another good BIG food item?

Can someone explain what happens if this new SEC leaves the NCAA and the rest of the country remains under the NCAA?

Does the SEC basically just have their own league and championship.... and the rest of the country plays as usual under the NCAA and there's bowls still and a National Championship, etc?

If so.... f**k the SEC and let them leave. I think a majority of the country will still support the NCAA teams over the new SEC league.

But I have no idea if that's how it works or not?
Outside of 4 16 team super conferences, I think this is the next best option. SEC basically becomes minor league football and the rest of the country proceeds as normal.
