Is there any way we could put together some sort of support rally to show the players that we are behind them 100%? Maybe we could suggest it to JP?

What do you guys think?

I'd make the trip from West Des Moines.

I'm there. I coached youth sports for a long time, and I know what coaches mean to these kids. And they ARE kids. Any support we can give them, whatever they choose to do, is the right thing to do for ISU athletics - but more importantly - for these kids.

They deserve better than this. My heart aches for them.

The players know they have our support. I'm not sure having a "Support Rally" would have any real effect. Their future at Iowa State is a personal decision for themselves.

I don't know if we would be able to round up enough people to do it this evening...

Eh, some is better than none. I don't think there is any way we can talk JP into setting up a separate event. He's got his hands full trying to find a new head football coach.

JP actually had the meeting already, since Chiziks was so short, it followed. It was a good idea.
