My single biggest pet peeve of the wrestling community, especially online, is people who want to make themselves look important by hinting about being in the know. Even if they are.
Okay, Judoka. I won’t post anything more on here since it offends you. Couldn’t care less if people think I’m important. Wasn’t the intent of the post. I’m sorry please go ahead and be the face of ISU online wrestling that you desperately want to be.

If you wanna share something, share it. If you don't want to share something but post 'if you knew what what I knew' then your only intent is to tell people that you know something privileged that they don't. It's a pet peeve because if you go look at pretty much any wrestling forum online it is rampant. And it ends up making it even more inaccessible to people who aren't hardcore fans than it is already.

I have shared many things on this wrestling forum that I’d hope people found interesting and shared knowledge that maybe they wouldn’t have known. Never once have I teased about knowing something and not shared it. The things that I have heard over the past couple months have been discussed before on here already so I didn’t feel the need to rehash them. It wasn’t a tease. I don’t do that and to my knowledge have never done that in the past. I really don’t have any desire to share anything on here from now on though because you seem to have a problem with me.

I have gotten a lot a inside information. It is hard because I don't want to screw up what the staff is trying to do.

I do know Iowa State was getting Tsirtsis and then is got out and Tsirtsis was pissed and ended up at ASU.

I hear things about recruiting and will share info when names are out there, but I am not going to be the 1st to throw a name on a message board.

I share what I can, when I can, but am cautious. Sometimes it is tough because I know something that can clear things up, but not sure if I am at liberty to say, so have to let it play out.

I hope my value is worth more on the things I do share and not the info I hold back.

I appreciate your info and knowledge Buf and not that it matters but you’re my favorite poster on this forum! Thanks for sharing what you can.

BS. You can't blame the kid for being fed up with the coaches' story being the only one out there being told.

Gotta love Iowa fans coming over here and chipping in with their two cents about this situation when all 4 of our wrestling coaches are Hawkeyes. This is "Iowa way".

I wonder if they had a problem with this.....

Totally not Storr related-also not ISU related, but did anyone else watch the Penn State tOSU dual? Incredible! PSU wins 19-18. #1 Kollin Moore tastes defeat for the first time this season and Kyle Snyder fails to major or better #6 Nevills to secure the dual for the Buckeyes..Snyder also gave up two takedowns to the Penn State kid as well.

Storr: "Denied because they didn't want to harm the university"

Des Moines Register:
In Storr's statement, he claimed "multiple news platforms … refused to publish the story from my perspective." Storr initially reached out to the Register on Wednesday via direct message and asked the Register to publish only his version. The Register informed Storr that Iowa State would need to be contacted before the story was published. The Register talked to multiple Iowa State wrestling coaches on Wednesday night.

Storr also told the Register that he hoped sharing his side of the story would help lessen any potential tampering penalties levied against the Virginia wrestling program. On Thursday morning, after the Register contacted the Iowa State wrestling program to fact-check Storr's initial claims, Storr reached back out to the Register.

"Scratch the story, I don’t want to re-light the fire and blow this up again," he wrote.

So what is the take from this? Is Storr backing off his initial story?

I don’t remember if it was Flo or Intermat but one of those two posted that they contacted Storr on Monday for a statement and he said no comment. Would have been best to have stuck with that.

Storr is better off not saying anything from here on out. Just keeps making him look worse the more that is said in the media.

He would have been better off not saying anything from the get go. As Kenny Rogers once said: you gotta know when to hold 'em. Airing this stuff just invites people, not in the know, to pass judgment on him, or his former coaches--as we see in this thread. I hope he lands in a good place.

no, i really don't bring it up like it was violent. Where did I ever imply that? I'm not trolling either. I disagree with how the situation was handled, and the "shove" or "push" or "pat on the ass" or whatever is simply part of it that apparently became big enough to Storr that he felt it necessary to mention.
Maybe you think Storr should have gotten a pat on the ass like the WV coach got from the match REF when dismissing the coach's complaints after the meet were over. Storr was soft in the match and it cost him. His attitude must have been similar to the other two wrestlers who couldn't cut the mustard this yr and left.
As a long time season ticket holder gong back to Dan Gable years and before, we asked for a tougher coaching approach and more dedication from the team. Some stay and grow, some melt and go away. Storr made his decision. Good luck to him, he will need it.
