I have a few Iowa friends who said they are not going to the Nevada game after last week. I know they've technically sold out all of their home games, but I hope we see declining attendance all season. That Nevada game has the potential to be pretty sparsely attended. If they are sitting at 3-4 with Northwestern coming to town, it could get ugly in Kinnick.

Two home games to start this season has netted them 14 points.....7 of those by the offense on a 16 yard drive.

Would you be fired up to go sit and watch that?

Is there a way to listen to the iowa post game call in radio show after the fact. I would love to experience the meltdown.

I wish I could see/hear the second half with Dolph/drunk Eddie announcing it.

They sounded completely devastated at the end of the game, but prior to the field goal attempt.

How could the elite defense give up points?

Ed...I haven't heard him in quite some time and his voice has changed quite a bit

At times it seemed as if they were only able to decipher what was happening by watching the TV replays. I assume they will leave when the Ferentzes leave.
Wait. Are you implying that the Hwakeye radio crew was drinking during the game, and that one of them was drunk? If so, that is amazing! A fireable offense at most places, I would think. No?
Classy Iowa fan there.
Some of them can't seem to help it.

Iowa Season ticket holders have done this for years. They buy up desirable single game tickets hoping to flip them for some extra cash. They will also add season tickets in years when they have a good home slate like this year. Neither the Nevada or Northwestern games will be close to full even though those games are "sold out".

So, we need to inform Iowa that they can't sell out their season tickets unless we are on the schedule.

We don't need to tell them they can't, and they'll figure out they shouldn't, because they won't get their $ back.

LMAO yep.

There were a lot of SDSU and Iowa State fans made their way into a "sold out" stadium...

In Japan, the middle finger is a respectful gesture meaning "brother". Holding up 2 middle fingers can mean essentially, "We are brothers". Maybe he's wishing his in-state brothers goodwill.
Haha, doubt it. The Hok circle of 'world knowledge' likely does not extend that far.

This is interesting though. Similar, I guess to the Horn Fingers or hook em horns sign.
And I think the "V" for victory or peace, might have an altogether different meaning in some countires, if you turn the hand around!

I went to the game with an hawk friend of mine. He refuses to boo, but is actively rooting against the team right now so KF will make a change at QB. Said if they don't show any signs of life, he's not planning on watching anymore games this year. And he's a diehard.

Never been to a game at Kinnick... never will. I would imagine the Hok fans would have been much worse if they had higher expectations or they were ranked. They clearly know they are not very good, so I'm guessing the crowd was a bit more tempered.

I've seen it before at the old Soldier Field in the early 90s when the Bears were still relevant... their fans were supreme Aholes to the opposing team's fans that showed up.

People just seem to lose their $hit sometimes when their team is supposed to be good/great.
Or when there are a sufficient amount of inherent a-holes in that particular town or area? But otherwise, I agree. LOL
