Italian beef

package of dried italian dressing
can of beef broth
onion sliced
jar of pepperocini's and half the juice
top/bottom round beef roast

put it all in the crock pot for 5-6 hours or till shred-able. Mix with the juices. Toast some hoagie buns and add some provolone.

This is very tasty.

We like to throw some skinless chicken breasts in with a jar of salsa, usually Mad Butcher because it's a bit runnier. Cook until you can shred the chicken. Put it over rice.

I would strongly recommend a Belgian carbonade. You can make it with beef or pork. Dredge chunked meat in flour, salt, pepper, and then brown in butter. Transfer to crock pot. Add some chopped onions. Add 1 or 2 bottles (depending on how much meat you have) of dark beer (like Beck's, but Killians Red works well, too) . Add some thyme and a bay leaf or two, and simmer away. At the end of cooking, stir in a Tbs of tart jelly and a little vinegar - but you don't have to, still tastes good without. Remove the bay leaf. Serve over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes (although Belgians also eat this with French fries).

Pulled Chicken is my go to. Throw in a couple of chicken breast and cover in BBQ sauce and place the crock pot on low before leaving for the day. Shred the chicken with a fork right before you eat and enjoy.

I do this as well, great stuff! One of my favorites is actually putting Italian dressing in there instead of BBQ sauce. Throw it on a deli roll with some melted mozzarella cheese and it's a treat

I love this but instead of BBQ sauce I do a jar of hot salsa which goes great with nachos or tacos.

Yeah, I have done it with some mexican spices to make tacos. I go thru a lot of chicken in the winter.

This is the BOMB recipe and I have people clamoring for it all the time. One friend of mine uses day old Jimmy Johns bread. I haven't tried that but sounds awesome. I like to top mine with provolone as well.

Piquant French Dip
make 8 servings

3-lb chuck roast
2 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp garlic powder
1 bay leaf
3-4 peppercorns (I put in 10-15)
8 french rolls

1. Place roast in slow cooker. Add water ,soy sauce and seasonings.
2. Cover. Cook on high 5-6 hours, or until beef is tender.
3. Remove beef from broth. Shred with fork. Keep warm.
4. Strain broth. Skim fat. Pour broth into small cup for dipping. Serve beef on rolls.

That sounds good (and simple). I'm going to try that. I assume you brown the chicken first — then just add stuffing ingredients to slow cooker as if you were stove cooking?

I throw in the raw chicken breast. Either whole or chopped and cover with the stuffing. I forget how much water I put in, I think only the amount on the stovetop package. It cooks through and is seasoned by the stuffing.

My go to pot roast recipe. 4 ingredients or less

2 lbs of beef chuck roast
1 can of coke/pepsi
1 bottle of Chile Sauce
2 cloves of minced Garlic

Throw in veggies if you want. Cook on low for 6-8 hours and the meat just falls apart. Use the sauce as an Au Jus and it is amazing.. So juicy..

Rub a little sage and minced garlic on 1-1/2 pork roast. Put in the crock pot with about 1/2 cup of water. Set on low when you leave for the day. Delicious. I usually make a balsamic & brown sugar glaze/sauce for it when I get home.

Similar easy one, put a chunk of roast beef in and dump a jar of jalapenos on top. Spicy beef sandwiches, very tasty.
