Not surprising, he was basically brought in to be an extra QB in camp and they cut him early enough that he will have the opportunity to latch on to another team if anybody is willing to pay him.

His quarter against the Raiders was probably the worst performance he's had since that 2002 Oklahoma game.

3/6, 32 yds, 1 INT (led to FG), sacked twice, 1 fumble lost (returned for TD).

Probably getting towards the end of his run, not bad putting 9 years in the league though.

What is he, 33 or 34 years old now? If this was his last hurrah then congrats to him on forging a long NFL career. Most players would be grateful to hang around the league for the better part of a decade.

he's getting to that age where it's tough to justify a roster spot for him when you could be developing a young guy.

Great run in the NFL and one of the all time greats to wear cardinal and gold.

Hell he could start for the Vikings from what I've seen so far.

Totally agree, retire quietly and enjoy golfing the next 2 decades

He probably didn't even get hit enough for his brain to turn to mush, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

Now is the time to hunker down, move to Ames, and produce as many little future Cyclone football players as possible.
