At this point I'm just going to assume he would rather create music then try to play in the NBA. It's his decision so I'm cool with whatever he decides.

"only a few players with my skill set in the WHOLE league... everybody knows it."

Um, how would ANYBODY know it?

He might as well have just stayed in college for another year. Obviously lacking some skills needed for the NBA including handling career situations correctly.

Just hope Fred didn't "vouch" for Royce too much prior to the draft. Would hate for Royce's antics to hurt Fred's reputation that might help our players get into the league in the future. Best of luck to Royce, he gave ISU nothing but his best.

Royce said nobody has contacted him to be anywhere. So maybe he isn't planning on missing these things.

This. I'm sure Fred's ties with McHale are why rockets even took a chance on him.

Looking at his twitter, Royce is lean and says he is ready physically but hasn't been contacting to appear anywhere. To him, it seems he is being attcked for not showing up to workouts he wasn't invited or asked to be at.

He is a big boy. He needs to get his butt in gear. Everyone that wants on a team, must practice. Even Iverson.

I almost feel like Royce is regretting going to the NBA so early. Yes he is getting paid big money, but he obviously isn't ready for it yet.

I wanted to vouch for Royce when this stuff first started last year but now I just can't. If he doesn't want to play basketball that's one thing but I can't stand him taking money for doing nothing.

Maybe he should make a phone call and see where he needs to be.

On the road...
If anyone wants to go back to any of the older threads and find my posts that say he would never play a second for the Rockets...I'll gladly take some rep.
