This idea being pushed by Feinbaum, the SEC, and OUT that the Big 12 should have done more to stop it from occurring is like the defense a husband uses after hitting his wife, "if you hadn't pissed my off, I wouldn't have hit you" BS.
UT is the wealthiest athletic program in the country, they and OU regularly are in the top 10 in recruiting. Both schools and their fan base now are saying that its not enough, that they have to get into the SEC because that is where the future pros play, so they had to do it.
So its the leagues fault that UT and OU cannot stop high school kids from Texas from leaving the state of Texas instead of going to the flagship school of Texas. Forgetting all along that OU has had 2 Heisman winning players in the past 5 years, and still won numerous awards at their schools.
How about the more likely idea is the one that says with all the riches in the world, UT has not won a conference title in over a decade and has under performed on a yearly basis for a number of years now. Is that the fault of the Big 12 also, is it ISU fault that we have defeated UT twice in a row, or is it TCU's fault that they have won 5 out of 7 vs. UT.
How does anyone stop being stabbed in the back by someone you trust, and then you have the gal to say they should have done more and saw it coming?
I will be glad when UT goes to the SEC and then they are that leagues problem,
Greed and Arrogance will be the death of us all.
