This is a gut feeling but I doubt any of our guys will. Possibly SDW to get his body more physically ready to bang in the B12 but that's still doubtful. Especially with Matt Thomas coming in next year
I for one will stop freaking out about Fred's apparent lack of recruiting post players. It looks like now that he's feeling good about his backcourt, he's getting aggressive with some bigs.
I'm not sure why you would want to make next year's class any bigger frankly. We will have 5-6 new players in that class anyway, so adding a redshirt only makes that class larger.
I think we'll need all hands on deck in 2013-14, so SDW will get a few minutes here and there this year, IMO. He does appear the most likely due to his frame, but I still think he plays some small minutes.
Barring a late transfer or a signing I'd assume Oroko and Ejim will be holding down the 3 in 2013. Both need to work on their offense but hopefully another year of coaching under Fred will lead to improvements.
I kinda feel Oroko is being forgotten, he was a 3* and had offers from Pitt Seton Hall and Zona before commiting. At least there is potential there.
Bo Zeigler also projects to be a SF but to ask him to play major minutes as a fresh man if he does commit may be asking a lot.
Obviously this doesn't take into account any new additions for 2013, but I could see Ejim playing the 3, even though his ball skills and shooting are more suitable for the 4.
Percy almost for sure will start at the 5. Niang is an outside/inside 4, so he will give Fred that 3rd shooter with 3-pt range even with Ejim at the 3.
Naz, Thomas, SDW, Morris and Okoro will form the backcourt in some combination, with Okoro playing the 3 when Ejim is not in or at the 4 spot.
Ah the Harrison twins. Helicopter dad and the Anthony Odunsi fight. Such a special pair.
