I had irregular eating patterns this fall, and as soon as that happens, my metabolism quits in revenge.
As for me, I wouldn't skip the meals. That's where so much of the damage can happen.

For me it depends on my discipline. It has worked for me in the past, but only if I don't make up for it and overeat in the evenings.

Researched plagiarism reporting procedures at DMACC.
No surprise, they just plan to put a thing on file, so forget that. Straight zeroes for that person's bother.

Sent final week update to the class. Involves a strong statement about including plagiarized material in the final project, including definitions, practices, and oblique references to things I've already caught.

Mostly, though, that e-mail was a reminder of final due dates, and a record reminding someone that they're failing the class the second I find plagiarized material in their final project, because I will. I expect to spend 40 seconds or less grading that person's project before waving goodbye.

I would hate to write a paper today. Watched my son do a paper in HS, and he didn’t do the internet check on it and got drilled for plagiarism on it. He wrote it in his own words but apparently somebody had already said something somewhat close to it so he got zeroed. I wrote papers last minute quite often and could have seen myself getting zapped on that also.

That's not normally the case, though.
In today's instance, this guy got a second chance after I caught him earlier, because 3 jobs doesn't leave a lot of time in my world (today notwithstanding).

He claims he doesn't have Internet access, but all our assignments are posted online. Then he goes to Wikipedia, history.com, and Shmoop and literally copies their websites by hand. Not like he's close, but word for word, by hand.

I know a few are over in the “I’m Fat” thread. Have to brag on hubby a bit, he made some eating changes after a Dr’s appointment 6months ago and lost around 55lbs. I make the food, so I also lost about 20lbs. While he was losing the bulk of his weight, he did not work out any. Now we bought a studio-type bike with streaming workouts (not a Peloton) and he does that. I walked all summer and did kettlebell workouts, now on the bike and free weights. Going into 2020 75lbs lighter as a couple. This Thanksgiving vs. last Thanksgiving. I think we both did fairly well over the holiday, now we need to make it through Christmas. And Christmas baking. ;)

It took me about 5 years to finally start working on losing weight. Now I need to start working out again, hopefully it doesn't take me about 5 years to finally start that.

that would be bad then. Never had to deal with it, just what my son shows and tells me. He mentioned there is a percentage that each sentence can resemble another in his papers before he has to reword it.

The online submission tools can be tricky like that, I understand.
I don't use them. I just do it myself. It stands out quickly that something doesn't sound right.

Isn't Wikipedia user created content? Maybe he just posted his paper there when he was done with it for the betterment of mankind. You should be rewarding him, not failing him.

I had noticed someone at work had an "Oath Keeper" sticker on their truck. Finally remembered to Google it...I have many thoughts on this and none of them are good.
