Random:

Ha, just dawned on me today that tomorrow is the 4th of July. o_O

I have burned the equivalent of 900 Hershey's kisses biking the last two months. Since they are my new personal summer treat kryptonite this is sort of a push as far as calories.

welp, LM is likely getting his cousin as an early bday gift. Hopefully not for a couple weeks yet but IDK if they can hold it off for that long.

Is this the one where they expect Grandma to babysit and bring him/her to the barn for chores, in the tractor etc...?

Correct. Although it appears better sense made it through and they decided they would talk to a local acquaintance.... but don't think they had done that yet.

I could give grandma $400 a week if she wasn't batshit crazy and come out ahead compared to daycare starting this winter.

I need to open a daycare facility as there's NO WAY you can lose money at that price.

I suddenly see why everyone is so excited for their kid to be school age. $20,000/year in daycare will do that. It also makes stomaching private schooling cost significantly easier.

Not at all. Try something new, y'all.

In other new news, DMACC sent me a job alert. They're looking for adjunct instructors in history for summer and fall. Place is squared away, yo.
This summer?

Not exactly sure.

Had friends who did daycare. Husband hated it. Couldn’t come home and eat lunch without crazy all the time and his furniture was always broke. Tore his sink off once, he was spending weekends fixing his house.

If you live in that A town, I would send my kids to public personally. One of the few times I would actually say that.
