Not exactly sure.
That has been me almost the past 16yrs. And if it isn’t kids waking me up, it is hubby’s snoring.

Since my kids are older, I have two options: 1) stay up until the 12:30 curfew or 2) go to bed and have the wife wake me every so often and ask if the kids are home which then requires me to get up and check if their car is home or check in their room if they didn't drive.

I'm sure it sucks when you get used to sleeping longer stretches, but right now 1x sounds really nice! Eight months.......guess I've already made it past five, we can do this......maybe starting solids will help. Lol, I said that about hitting three months, being able to sleep on his tummy, it's all a crapshoot. I imagine whatever solids help, starting teething will undo.

Also, I thought this was @SCyclone posting and was like OMG, HIS KIDS ARE LIKE 25, THEY STILL DON'T SLEEP?!?

The bolded is so true in my experience. Parenthood is worth the lack of sleep and the other unpleasantries when they smile and laugh with you. That's what I keep telling myself at least.

That's right, I think i remember you mentioning he had issues with milk. Coming from someone who is lactose intolerant, it does bloat you up like no tomorrow. The probiotics won't hurt to my knowledge so best to start those back up since it takes a day or two to really get them working well.

yeah I only did dairy-free for about a week in October. I stopped tracking in the baby app but going by my Fitbit, he was doing 10pm-3/4am fairly consistently for much of December and that was very doable, as long as he didn't wake and think party time at 4. But the past few days he's back to two hour increments and I'm not sure what's changed. Maybe his obsessive work on trying to crawl.

The next big hurdle we had was when they started sleeping in a real bed. I can't remember how many times I was laying on that stupid, hard floor next to the bed pretending to sleep next to the kids and then watching them peer over the little bed railing thing at me and realizing that just earned me another 10-15 minutes on the floor.

Not that I don't care, but if that's the case, they'll need some one else to rock them back to sleep. :D

I tell myself this a lot at 3am. Someday he will be a teenager we can't drag out of bed!

Oh, and looking at my baby book over Christmas (since I'm the oldest and it's filled out to T) and it says that the first time I slept through the night was at 2.5 WEEKS old.

That's awesome! I have often wondered how many have baby books, my Mom was pretty good about keeping records in mine.

The funniest entry is "Baby laughed out loud at 6 months. It startled him and he began to cry."

The vixen and I met KC, Papa Lew, and Rulzzz yesterday at the game (TIp of the cap to @NWICY for the tix) and had a nice visit. Fun to meet you guys!
Sorry you missed me. I unfortunately had to give my ticket away, as we had my family's Xmas this past weekend in Dubuque. I sit in Rulzzz and KC's section.

Mine was hilarious in how well it was filled out. She put when I rolled tummy to back, then back to tummy and it wasn't just the date, it was "9:25am". All my baby teeth are taped in there too. My youngest brother.........I think it's got his name and date of birth and that's about it.

Did your mom buy them off the tooth fairy?

so my kid can scooch backwards at a decent clip now but he has no idea what is behind him. Last night, he got himself stuck halfway under the coffee table. Tonight, I walked away literally for 30 seconds to put the bottle in his room and get him to feed him, and I came back and he had scooted off the playmat and was half under the couch. Luckily, the furniture is close to the ground and his booty prevents further scooting. But omg, it's hilarious to seem him half under furniture like that. So silly.

That's the worst. LittleWx makes MrsWx stay in there and refuses to let me stay in her place. It can be an hour or more before he finally falls asleep. He got a VERY soft and warm blanket for Christmas. On Saturday night he gave it to her and then gave her a pillow to lay on. They both fell asleep so I woke her up and we went to bed. In the morning he came into our room "Mom I am sad that you didn't stay."

I'm pretty sure she had a deal worked out.

Ha, my oldest made a deal with the tooth fairy when he started losing his teeth. He wants to actually keep his teeth, so with each tooth he leaves a note for the tooth fairy pleading for the dollar and the right to keep the tooth. It has worked so far.

My oldest also attempted to blackmail the elf on the shelf this year too. He wrote a letter to Santa tattling on the elf about getting in the sugar jar and leaving marshmallows and chocolate chips strewn about. He then told the elf he would send it to Santa if he wound up on the naughty list. He's only 6. We're in trouble.

traipsing thru the treetops
Saw Xavier Foster walking around the concourse at Hilton Saturday before the game. Was waiting to meet up with an old friend and see this tall guy come walking my way. There wasn't anyone with him so I knew it wasn't a kid on an official visit. Turned out he was at the game on an unofficial.
He's tall
My concourse sighting was Coach Campbell with his kids. And it was kinda cool - no one was pestering him; he was just a fan like everyone else. :D
