Not exactly sure.
Alright, I'm looking for confirmation that I'm not crazy.

My wife talked to someone yesterday that said he lived in Helser while he was at ISU and graduated in '95. My wife lived in Friley and I lived in both Friley and Helser. We also graduated in '95 and were also business majors (this guy was an accounting major). The wife and I both knew quite a few people at the time, so my wife was asking him some questions to see if either of us crossed paths with him.

After several questions regarding classes, intramurals, floor parties, etc, she still wasn't able to make a connection. She then asked him if he would usually eat in windows or dungeon. He had no idea what she was talking about.

I had one of those "I think this guy's story about living in Helser and going to ISU is full of ****" moments.

For any of you that was in UDA around that time period, were you aware of the dining halls being known as windows and dungeon? I felt like that was something EVERYONE knew that lived there.

I will give you the worthless post that I had never heard them called that. Does it matter that I lived in RCA when i lived in the dorms?

Today is the last day of the class portion of MrsWx's CNA course. Tomorrow she starts clinicals for four days before the state testing end of next week. Starts classes for the RN on the 14th. Also got a job somewhat as a CNA in one of the ERs helping a friend of a friend that is a Dr there.

That awkward moment when you are typing on your computer and you hear a thump-rustle-bump behind you, and you turn around to find three of your cats playing hockey on the wood floor, using a terrified, belly-up, fear-frozen mouse for a puck...
Isn't that how cats kill mice normally? Don't they just kind of play with it to death?.

One of our cats found a baby garter snake right outside the front door once and just sat there tossing it straight up and then bat it as it came down. The baby snake never stood a chance.

The hospital industry has their nursing programs set up so well, get your CNA and then you can work and schedule around it for your advanced classes. Many years ago I worked with a guy whose daughter had her CNA at 16 through her high school, and was well on her way to her RN by the time she graduated high school. Her senior year of high school she had already moved out and had her own apartment.

So we currently have a black lab that is around 7 or 8. We're thinking of maybe getting a 2nd dog so she won't be alone all day while we're at work. Obviously if we did this we would have her meet the other dog first to make sure they get along. Has anyone got a 2nd dog after having the first for a few years? How did it go?
We got a lab puppy when my first lab was about 8. I used them for hunting and hoped the puppy would learn some stuff from the older one. The puppy tormented the **** out of the older one, trying to get her to play, at first. After a while the puppy settled down a bit, and they became good friends.

My dog did the same thing with a nest of baby rabbits. She tossed one in the air and played with it until it quit squeaking and then moved on to the next. My wife made me go stop her and "save" the rabbits even though I explained to her it was likely too late.

It is going to be an interesting two years nut she is loving it, it is coming naturally thus far and it will be so much better for us long term.

I lived in new RCA for a year as well. That was a hazy year.

I guess after all of the attempts by my wife to try to find a degree of separation with this dude with absolutely zero luck, that one difference set off my BS detector. I was just looking for some confirmation of my suspicion.

Ha, I'm definitely not worried about this guy as a threat. If I had that issue, I'd have never gotten together with my wife initially. Probably 95% of her friends were guys. She hated the girl drama and still does. It's one of the things that's awesome about her.

I know, just felt like listening to that song and that seemed like a teed up opportunity. :)
