I've had stuff like that and it's amazing what role shoe tread, having a bad arch, hip strength etc. can play in something so small.

I thought about that but if anything I have not been wearing shoes at all or shoes I have worn for a long time with no issues. I would think it would be a new shoe thing but I guess you never know.

Woke up yesterday with sharp pain on the side of my foot right at my big toe knuckle. No trauma there recently so kind of confusing. May just need to chop it off.
Didn't you just say that your wife's practicum was canceled? Sorry if the wrong term. I'd just ask her to do what's necessary.

Hard telling...I had a calf strain in January 2019, rehabbed it, was fine for a few months, re-strained it in August. Tried to go back to my older rehab stuff, it got better but not much.

Finally in January went in and learned that my arch muscles in my foot were weak and over pronated, and that was affecting my calf's ability to heal or strengthen, which also caused a bit of 'jumper's knee'. I have 'flat feet' which I've always had but was never an issue.

So far the best way to help it has been to 'flex' my ankle/arch and stand on that foot until exhaustion. Kind of crazy what that one tiny thing does for all else.

I've been very fortunate that my PT so far has been simple.

If it's swollen and red, you probably have gout. And then you would have my sympathy, because I've had gout and it sucks.

Pornhub could be considered educational depending upon what you are teaching.
I really agree with this. I have gotten a face full of information at times from said website. It's like it explodes every time all over me with minimal control.

Either I haven't been paying attention or they haven't been broadcasting these commercials at times where I have been watching, but the commercials for Jungle Law (Tarzan the Lawman) are like really weird SNL skits. One came on this morning as I was getting ready for work and I just stared at the tv for a good five seconds afterwards wondering if what I just watched was real.

I've seen billboards for them in KC and recently in Omaha. Never saw a commercial so I had to look it up.

Looked into it some and seems fairly spot on. Slight redness with very little if any swelling but that's the spot.

I got ahead researching it, then got sick for a couple days, recovered, worked my weekend job, daughter got sick for a couple days, and then we went back to setting up for her school life at home.

What I'm doing is just making YouTube videos where I refer to the PowerPoints, which I upload to Canvas.

Edit: Now it's a discussion of whether to upgrade our Internet, because we can't upload videos in anything resembling a timely fashion, or just do something in almost all text, include some links to relevant videos, and basically punt altogether.

3rd semester in a row teaching this class, albiet in various versions. It's all ready to really roll, but I just don't have the resources to do this from home without making some significant investments in Mediacom, which makes me barf.
Call mediacom and explain your situation, see if they'll give you a promotional rate or something or work with you given the circumstances.

I have that exact issue every morning and several times throughout the day, but mine is from severe arthritis of the right big toe "knuckle" and starting in my left big toe. I doubt we have the same issue though if you haven't had any issues until now.

Not exactly sure.

May be a skin infection also. If it's warm to the touch, keep an eye on it. Otherwise one thing I have heard is cherrys are supposed to help with gout.

Random Thoughts from someone in a 'stay at home' city:

1) Since I'm still required to go to work (infrastructure contractor): Not having any traffic on the way home at 5 PM is nice (drive in to work still has a surprising amount of traffic, but it's mainly going to plants and refineries).
2) I'm amazed that some people still don't seem to know how a drive-thru works. Or that they need a menu at Chik-Fil-A. Not that many choices there...
3) Anyone else feel torn about ordering stuff online or ordering takeout? Part of me says do it, it's helping the economy and justifying those jobs & businesses staying open. The other part of me says Bad! Social Distancing, Flatten the Curve, don't force people into those situations, etc. Pretty much the only store I go into is the grocery store and Target. I'm amazed at the number of cars in the Lowes/Home Depot parking lots.

Does it hurt all the time? Sometimes when it was bad for me, just the bedsheet moving against my toe was agony. I sure hope for your sake it isn't, but if it is I can give you lots of advice. ;)
