I was wondering if some Twins fans on CF can give me some input. Rockies fan here looking to head up and catch the final two days (Wed. and Thurs) of the series. Looking from the Twins site it looks like standing room only is all that available for sale. Anyone been up there for a game and has the stadium been totally full? What are chances of getting seats? Before the Rockies were in existence the Twins were my team so I can't really lose with either outcome and the chance to see the Rockies this close to Iowa would be nice.

Its been full but there are always a few seats to grab. If I were you I'd check stub hub or just roll up before game time and buy off the street from the scalpers.

It's been 'full' every game. It's still not hard to come by tickets though, especially for the weekday games.

Like someone said before, you can try Stubhub in advance, but my recommendation would be to try these routes:

1: Double check the ticket office the day of the game. They are usually there all day, and many times certain tickets are made available on game day.

2: Plenty of scalpers down there this year.

3: Butter up a bartender at the restaurants, a lot of the establishments downtown have blocks of tickets and will sell them to their customers for face if asked.

Went to the game Sunday and parked in a ramp about 10 blocks from the stadium. After walking about 4 blocks, we ran into a gentleman and got two good seats for a fair price. Passed a lot of other scalpers (they were selling on the corner as the cops were directing pedestrians/traffic) the rest of the way. The stadium was full for most of the game, and man was it A+ all the way around, less the games outcome.

It seems the tickets we got were much cheaper than what they would have been on stubhub.

Just bought some on stubhub this morning, a little overpriced but worth it
I had to go the Stubhub route for the game I went to at Target Field at the end of May. Paid $70 for tickets that were face valued at about $45. But for it being the first trip to a true baseball ballpark for the Twins in 30 years, it was worth it.

Don't forget about craigslist. I've gotten tickets through that before.
Enjoy Target field. It is a beauty. Sure beats the Dome.

Don't park at Target Center....it is a disaster trying to get out. I suggest parking at the 50 S. Sixth Street ramp ($7 and just a few blocks from the stadium). I'll be at the game Thursday...hope it's a good one!

I have an unrelated question: does anyone know of a place to watch tonight's game online? My dad and his wife were going to make a "circle me Bert" sign and I can't watch for them way down here in SE Iowa! Thanks!

I've heard that there is a shuttle that leaves Mall of America and drops off near Target Field. I think we are going to try that.

The light rail is a nice easy way to get there. It is very busy prior and after the games but not too bad for the price. The rail is on the ground level of the SE corner of the mall parking lot. It is about a 30 minute ride from MOA to the Warehouse District.

Twins crushed my Rockies 9-3. Tulo and Helton did HR but rest of the team didn't do much. Saw Kubel HR for the Twins, I have him on my fantasy team but every time he goes yard he on my bench. Can't wait for my trip to Minny.

I've gone to a couple games, one weekday day game and one weekday evening game, was able to get tickets walking up counters at the stadium roughly 1 and a half hours before the game no problem. As for parking if your willing to park further away(7-8 blocks) I found spots for 4 or 5 dollars.

As for driving up, I 35W still has construction going on(I swear that area as been under construction for 3 years) and I found it slowed my progress noticeably so plan a little extra time for the drive.

Be careful with Craigslist and scalpers, there has been some mentions of fake tickets with the new stadium demand.

I went to the game tonight. My first time in the new park. Great park!

I hate battling traffic and expensive parking downtown, so I drove to the Park and Ride at Fort Snelling and rode the light rail into downtown. Very slick...cost $4 round-trip.

I'm trying to find 2 tickets to the Twins-Tigers games Tue 6/29 and Wed 6/30. Prices on stubhub and ebay appear to have considerable markup but it appears I'll have to go that route.

I've heard there are plenty of tickets available through scalpers etc. on the day-of, but that seems pretty risky for driving 4 or so hours with no garunteed tickets. For the midweek games would I be safe just winging it and trying to find tickets once I get there?

Thanks to all for their suggestions. I did come up with some great tickets to the marquee game of this series which Thurs noon game. I can't wait to see UJ pitch in person. I'm sure I'll be able to find a couple for tomorrow.

Well I got my first Target Field exp last night. The place looks great, kind of small for a mlb park but much better place to watch baseball than the Metrodome. My Rockies made Scott Baker look like the AL Cy Young last night. We were lucky to only lose 2-1. Ate at Herbek's restaurant inside the Stadium, pricey but you get yours moneys worth. Looking forward to seeing Ubaldo pitch today and hopefully the Rox can avoid the sweep.
