Let me quote a stat from earlier in the game.

At the end of the 1st quarter, time of possession was something like 13:30 for Iowa, 1:30 for ISU. We had 1 three and out. The defense didn't give the offense a chance to get into rhythm.

No doubt that Arnaud is not a great QB, but I'm not sure Tiller helps, and I don't think we beat KSU with Tiller at QB. I think we have a good chance with Arnaud at QB, as he has all the experience.

If he struggles and we lose against KSU, then I'll agree with you.

Dude you dont get it do you? Arnaud CHOKES! TIme and time again, this kid proved to be looking like a fool against a great defense. Currently we are not even talking a chance with Tiller. That is just flat out ridiculous.

Excactly what does he have doing? It's not like we've been winning 7-8-9 games a year. Yeah he's been going through the motions for 4 years.

Should Tiller or Capello (sp) play? Sounds like Capello (sp) is tearing it up for ISU. Mine as well give him a chance.

I think it's obvious that AA doesn't handle pressure very well. Not just pressure from the D within the game, but pressure when the game is one-sided like today. I have a hard time believing that our WR's are covered on every play. He's going to his check down a lot -- throwing to the short route almost every pass play. AA is not very accurate on a lot of passes. Someone earlier said Bret Meyer disease and I agree - Not improving. I'm not sure it's all his fault with the 3 coaches and 3 offensive plans. But I think it's obvious the talent level that AA possesses has peaked... To me he's in over his head with reading defenses and trying to force so many passes. While I don't think we'll face a front-4 this talented again this year... I think AA will be hard pressed to LEAD this team all year. He's serviceable, but he seems like DIV-1/Big 12 backup talent to me at this point in his football maturity. I think it's time to let Tiller play.

Most people struggle against a great defense. I'd like to hear your reasoning why Tiller would be a better option. What has he done that makes you believe he'd do better.

We have a guy that led what should have been a game tying drive against KSU last year, put up 36 points on KU last year, and led us to 6 of our seven wins.

Tiller played a game where he was asked to not turn the ball over, and take exactly one big shot. The defense won the game for him. Other than that, he did nothing.

I'm not going to crucify a guy for a bad game against Iowa. They have probably the best defense we are going to face all year.

Like I said, if he struggles against KSU, then I'll agree with you.

AA hasn't handled pressure well for a long time. He's a great kid, but not the guy to carry the team on his back. Let's face facts.

If we had a better option than Arnaud, I'd be all about it. We don't. As bad as he's been at times, Tiller is not any better.
Tiller has 2 more years to get better, Arnaud has none. Right now, we have no chance to win so we might as well put in Tiller to give him experience.

Then why isn't he starting? AA is starting because he is the best QB on the team, if you think he is terrible then I would be more worried about our backups because by definition that would make them worse than terrible. Everyone wants a new QB, but the reality is the backups aren't any better. These coaches aren't going to not play someone who is clearly better.

How do you know there isnt anyone better. Arnaud is just making foolish decision. The pressure is on him. We need to take the pressure off of him. Play someone else. I don't care who, just anyone. Arnaud doesnt deserve to play any more downs in this game.
