I still don't know what you guys are complaining about...HE GOT YOU GUYS A TOUCHDOWN! 6 POINTS! That did not come off of two field goals or three safeties!

Re: Put TILLER IN

AA still playing like a deer in the headlights. He still seems like he's playing scared.

I am assuming that Tiller is not the answer, or the coaches would have let him play a little. I also agree that AA is not the answer. He seems to get worse as the games go on. I have never seen any other team's QB lock onto a receiver the second they get the snap and then just stare at that one reciever hoping he will get open. On his last INT he had the RB wide open in the flat and didn't even glance over there. No wonder he seems so easy to defend.

I dont think you guys understand. Arnaud is the best we got at the QB position. And yes, thats just flat out scary for the rest of the season and the future.

I think Arnaud should continue to start, but the decision to keep him in there beyond midway through the 3rd is just inconcievable. The game was getting out of hand, Arnaud had no confidence and the only thing keeping him the entire game did was crush any confidence the kid had remaining. Putting Tiller in atleast would have relieved Arnaud from a situation he obviously didnt want to be in, it also would have given Tiller some good experience in a hostile environment. The decision to leave Arnaud in was a bad one.

I somewhat disagree. We all know he wasn't being effective, but it sent a message to Arnaud from the coaching staff that they still had faith in him. He did eventually lead a scoring drive, that while probably being meaningless, may have given him some confidence going forward.

Pulling him might have destroyed his confidence. Instead, he had a chance to at least try and get back on track, and get his mind right. I've only seen Arnaud give up mentally once, and that was in this game. I think their motivation was to avoid irreparable damage to his psyche as a quarterback.

I guess we'll find out how effective that was soon enough.

AA is not going to help us one bit if he is forced into passing situation time and time again. He is only effective if the running game is working and the passing game is on the back burner. Unfortunately, Iowa's D did a great job of shutting down the run and AA has proven he isn't going to make enough good decisions to win a game.

I'm not sure if you sit him yet to prep for the future. We lost like this last year to Iowa and bounced back to win 7. AA may show up next week and run for 75 yards and 2 TDs, or he may lay an egg. What is just as disappointing this year is our total lack of running attack from ARob and Co. If it weren't for his 63 yard TD against NIU he has not had anything close to what we would expect of him.

AA needs help, but the team needs help from AA in the form of not playing like a freshman. Had AA played at Nebraska last year there is no doubt in my mind we lose that game, due to his mandatory 3 TOs a game.
