Props to the fans at the game tonight.

I think the biggest testament to the atmosphere was the fact my kids were interested in the game the entire time. These are kids that literally cannot stay focused on anything beyond 20 minutes, and they watched 3 and a half hours worth of football.

Good to see they survived the 3rd quarter! That quarter seemed to take forever with all the injuries and penalties.

I've had season tickets since 05 and that was by far the best atmosphere I've witnessed inside the Jack. The one thing that really stood out to me was that it's starting to feel like our fan base is moving past the "waiting for the other shoe to drop" mentality. Even after the blocked FG I felt like the crowd was really engaged on the very next defensive possession instead of the old "welp, here we go" attitude.

Had a conversation about this with my dad last night. He said he had that feeling of waiting for the kick to the crotch. I didn't think about it until that point but I never had that feeling for whatever reason.

I'm a paranoid type of guy and even I'm starting to stop feeling that way.

Starting to. It's still there a little bit. ;)

We need a head pounding song between the 1st and 2nd quarter. My nominee is Born to be Bad, by George Thorogood. Maybe CW can get a contest to have a song chosen to play- none of that C&W crap.

I can distinctly remember during our thrashing of Texas Tech a few years ago my dad and I doing the math in the second half on whether there was any possibility we could still lose. We were up like 40 points and we were all "ok, so if their average possession takes 2 minutes, and if we went 3 and out each possession taking on average two minutes, they would surpass us on points...". That feeling sure has changed.

Anyone else think the person running the music needs to pay more attention to the crowd and get a hint? multiple times a cyclone power chant was drowned out and killed because the music.

With the crowd we had if those chants had a chance to get going it would have been impressive.

It is all scripted so the person running the music would have to have the authority to mix it up.
