Like is said in my post...Iowa is the luckiest team on the planet. Hope this isn't true for the woman's sake and all involved. Bad things happen during Bye weeks.

Speaking of rape, whatever happened at Baylor? Briles swept it under the rug and everyone bought it? Wasn't there talk of it costing him a job?

Once the Lincoln police do a full investigation, I'm confident the players will be cleared and the female making the claims will serve a solid 5 years in jail. Its the Big Red way.

Maybe they'll declare it "misdemeanor rape" and they'll only have to serve a week's suspension . . .

If there's something to this then I could see UNL dropping the hammer. They will tolerate this when they're winning. When they're not, this seems like the sort of distraction that will give them an excuse to conduct yet another coaching search.

This quote from the Omaha paper seems odd:

"He said police told the three that they wanted to hear their side of the story about what might have happened. “After talking to us, (the police) said you guys should be fine,” Armstrong said."

I thought that was a strange quote as well.

I know that we don't like Nebraska, but it is import that we remember one of our most sacred principles "Innocent until proven guilty". I can't stand how the modern day media has turned this principle upside down. It can ruin a kids life. See: Bubu Palu
