like some said in another thread. Its senior night and its going to be cold... O yea and we will be playing (hopefully) to be bowl eligible.... However I think Oklahoma State is way to good and these things mentioned make the blowout a little closer something like 42-24... We put up a fight at least. Lets hope for a blizzard so they cant pass the ball then we have somewhat of a chance.

you sir are crazy, Okie State will beat K-State by at least 3-4 touchdowns...
Hey, I'm still on the Kstate sucks* wagon, like I have all year, but they hung around in the first half against a better team than OSU in OU. Kstate plays the type of style that will annoy OSU. They force turnovers, and wear down the clock on O, with a power Oline.

*not sucks, but is a pretty average team

If you're a fringe fan in the state Oklahoma do you cheer for OU of OSU?

I wouldn't say I'm a fringe OSU fan. I follow them and my other teams every week (I have 3 teams Iowa State (grew up in Iowa), Tennessee (Alma Mater), and OSU (where I work). Also, unlike big 10 fans I love college football, and that love is not relegated to one conference. I do not root for OU nor do I like OU. OU fans remind me alot of Iowa fans, however, OU actually does has "football tradition" so thier cockiness and arrogance are somewhat justified. But they never shut up and think they are gods gift to football. The meltdown after the TTech game was humorous to say the least. That being said, I'm staying pretty quiet until after Bedlam.

My hopes are against the two Kansas schools to get to six wins. I just hope ISU plays hard and has a close fight in the Oklahoma school games.

No doubt, I'll get on the bat phone to T Boone asap and make an inquiry. Its amazing what $$ does for a program. From what I hear OSU used to have a rust bucket stadium and generally were a .500ish team. Bring in T-Boone's donation and facility upgrades and look where OSU is now. I've always wondered if ISU could see a similar leap to prominence with similar resources. I've been to games at both OSU and ISU and I would say that the everyday ISU fan is much more passionate than OSU fans (they rarely sell out the stadium).

A good start would be Denny Arbaugh

The best case scenario for ISU is that the Pokes continue to dominate and crush K-State. The Pokes will continue to have pressure build on them and could be primed for a late season letdown and at the same time K-State's dream season will come to a screeching halt. A few beatdowns and K-State is going to lose any swagger that they had built up.

Kind of an oxymoron....if the yards and points are scored against their second team its because their ahead by a wide margin, do you really think the other team is trying ball control down by 35?

In going through their games...its plain and simple, its a bad rushing defensive team....

see for yourself
La lafayetter 208 yards rushing
Arizona 197 yards
Tulsa 174 yards
A&M 46 yards rushing
Kansas 106 yards rushing
Texas 202 yards rushing
Missouri 195 yards rushing
Baylor 327 yards rushing

not to mention only two of these opponents were held under 300 yards passing....

I said it before the Tech game and i will say it again....Their defense will afford us an opportunity to be in this game if we play like we did against Tech - all three phases and keep their offense on the bench which only tightens them up!!!

I'm sorry but those are OSUs rushing totals. Not our rushing defense. You are also missing the entire point of our defense. They create turnovers. Plain and simple.

see for yourself
La lafayetter 108
Arizona 41
Tulsa 365
A&M 162
Kansas 153
Texas 231
Missouri 248
Baylor 176

OSU used to be one of the teams ISU could beat, pre-TBP.

I think it's crazy that their attendance is as bad as it is. I just don't get it.

Our attendance isn't that bad. Not at all. Not sure what clonecowboy is smoking. Since we had the grand opening we've been having great attendance. Four of our home games this year have been in the Top Ten in attendance in school history.

I probably do hammer on OSU football attendance a little too much, I say what I say because I can't believe that a team that finishes as well as OSU the last few years has never sold out a stadium that holds 60000 (the high is 58,500),. When I was at Tennessee we were packing 100000 plus for a 7-9 win a year team, just a lot more passion about football. Iowa state wins three games in a row against UNI, Iowa, and UCONN and the stands are packed. I think of what Jack Trice would be like with three consecutive seasons like OSU would have and I think that there would be a lot more buzz around the team, including sellouts. I realize Stillwater isn't a huge town but we have both Tulsa and OKC an hour away. I'm glad that attendance is at an all time high, it is just suprising to me that TBP stadium isnt averaging a sellout when and OSU controls its destiny to the BCS title game.

Im not trying to be down on OSU fans as much as I am impressed with and praise ISU fans who are ardent supporters of the clones who are at best midpack of the big 12. I realize that SEC football is unique (not thinking every university football atmosphere should be like UTenn) but I thought when I got down here that folks would be more into football, especially given thier recent success.

I really think if we want to have a shot at this game is for the weather to be less than stellar... I mean cold that is close to freezing with a mix of maybe a little precipitation or light snow and WINDY AS HELL....

We need to make this a game where you run, run, run.

Having said that I believe that we will run it and play Okie State really well.

I bet Kansas isn't. Us and Missouri maybe their last chance at winning a conference game.

I don't want to throw out a jinx card, but I think if ISU can get past Kansas, Baylor (@KU) seems like the stunner to keep Kansas from going 0-9. It was a hunch I had in preseason. If game was @Baylor, and ISU game was @ Kansas, I might not have even considered it.

No X's/O's involved with this, it just seems like something that'd happen.
