You’re saying this after 6 games versus someone who played at ISU for 3 years. I’ll bet CuJo has games where he is 6-7 from 3.That's not fair. Kalscheur at least had a good handful of games where he was on fire shooting the ball.

TJ has gotten teams with less talent and ability into the tournament and won multiple games each time. I'm not going to lose my **** over a game in November.
TJ got those teams with less talent and ability in the tournament because of huge non-con wins. Don’t have that this year.TJ has gotten teams with less talent and ability into the tournament and won multiple games each time. I'm not going to lose my **** over a game in November.
I guess that depends who you ask. I was thinking that was the floor myself. Maybe the floor is NIT or no post-season. It's too soon to tell, but there are definitely reasons for concern based on the last 2 games.Fringe tourney team. I think that was the preseason expectations.
Lol, was wondering when this post would come. It's fascinating that Chris has a pod with Larry last week, and they discuss how the Elite 8 team lost to Drake early in the season. I think some posters may want to listen to that segment.
Watching him in high school and this summer makes me think he absolutely will have an impact. it will take him some time to work into the lineup. He was gone most the summer when the rest of the team was working together. Is Biliew ever going to make an impact for us? A consensus five star recruit and this guy has done absolutely nothing and looks not ready to play at the collegiate level. Sure, it’s early. But he looks unprepared.
This basketball season so far has some football parallels. Football went from "has the rot set in" to (with 2 games left) "we have a shot to play in Arlington."TJ has gotten teams with less talent and ability into the tournament and won multiple games each time. I'm not going to lose my **** over a game in November.

Lol! There it is again. So relevant!A yearly reminder that the greatest team in Iowa state history lost to drake on its way to 32 wins and double big 12 championship
Stable post.Lol, was wondering when this post would come.
It was like clockwork in the Prohm days when he would lose non-conference.
That’s right folks - do NOT be frustrated! You are a BAD fan and an UNREASONABLE fan if you show frustration with how the team is playing right now. No criticism is warranted or welcome!
I also love the revisionist “lowering of pre-season expectations” crowd too, love the effort to double down to REALLY stick it to the naysayers! Those evil, dumb frustrated fans who have a passion for ISU basketball! Screw them! Like all of a sudden, we were actually not even supposed to be more than a fringe tourney team this year and Tre King was never expected/hoped to be a 12/6 type of guy (that one cracked me the f*** up last night!).
Jones will too. Count on it.That's not fair. Kalscheur at least had a good handful of games where he was on fire shooting the ball.
I’m somewhat worried that Nate Schmidt (our offensive coordinator) is our version of Brian Ferentz. We have better offensive talent this year but same lowly results as the last two yearsI think you are right but I think the offense is marginally better and not significantly better. Only a 2 game sample set against teams with a pulse but scoring 68 and 62 against two teams unlikely to be in the NCAA tournament is not an ideal start for this “revamped” offense.
We all gave TJ the benefit of the doubt his first two years and it doesn’t look like his offensive approach is any different. Time will tell but it’s Year 3 with much better offensive players, so it’s time to see improvement offensively.
I bet it was even more frustrating for Otz. But I think a lot of that can be cleaned up for big 12 playThe worst part of this game was from the like 10:00-5:00 mark when we had chance after chance to overrun them and things like Tamin overthrowing passes to King or missed free throws happened repeatedly. Those are really frustrating and irritating things but they are very different than "guys literally cannot see the basket" vs. Pitt last year.
2 years, I was mostly joking, and I am greatly looking forward to him going 6-7 from 3 at some point. You’re saying this after 6 games versus someone who played at ISU for 3 years. I’ll bet CuJo has games where he is 6-7 from 3.

People on this board don’t realize that toxic positivity is still toxic. If we can only express unfiltered joy at Iowa State athletics regardless of the result this board should be shut down and replaced with an image of unicorns and rainbows with an ISU logo on itLol, was wondering when this post would come.

Loved Pav’s energy, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Energy like that can be contagiousTamin has just been rock solid as expected. Gilbert was incredible yesterday but just couldn't get on track tonight. Best part of the night was probably Pav's minutes. May have found something there, as he just looked tenacious out there tonight. I'm looking at Omaha's minutes as an investment. Eventually the light will come on.
