Gilbert is a ball hog and isn’t good enough to play 1v5. We are a worse team when he’s on the floor.
The kid is talented but the epitome of a shoot first, second, and third option, look for the best shot for the team is way down the list, …. My son plays with a set of twins whose dad incentives them in their games based on points only….. they play the same way as Gilbert ‍♂️

These takes on Gilbert are not accurate at all. He had a bad game against Tech and was forcing it, yes, but in the other 5 games he was definitely not playing selfishly. He was driving when it was there. How bad would have we lost to VCU without him? He’s good at dishing when he gets into the lane, too.

Ridiculous to crap on a player so hard for one bad game.

I e watched every game and we are going to have to disagree. Just because he could get away with it with the awful competition we played the first 4 games doesn’t make it not true.

He will greatly suffer in B12 play if he doesn’t make some changes.

We have the wrong guys taking the shots and they're also taking bad shots. Milan could have scored another 20 last night if they'd gotten the ball to him.

Said it in this thread and maybe they're working it in since he's pretty green but add some back to the basket looks on the block for the guy; that may change things for everyone else too.

It’s obvious he models his game after Dirk and we saw the one legged fade away a couple times yesterday. He could definitely utilize that with his back to the basket…

He's said in interviews he doesn't do this.

Well, that was Dirk’s patented shot, I live in Dallas and saw him do it a zillion times and walk past the statue of him doing it outside the AAC all the time……but if he says not….maybe it’s just the “shot” and not Dirk’s total game.
