It was a weird game, but the offense in the 3rd quarter was very good.
I am hoping Sean foster gets some more run this week. He seemed to make a positive impact.

From a total game perspective..Our OL did ok..UNI Dline is a pretty good D line man..i dont care if they are FCS..that front 7 for UNI is always salty and this year no diff..
Our OL did a great job pass protection..great job. Was there a single sack? Dont think so. This year we wore down that Dline..last year UNI Dline dominates our OL entire game..See the difference? ISU OL will get better every week. It wasn't horrendous..What was HOrrendous was the first half play calling by Manning...Terrible play calling. 2nd half we opened up the book and look what happened? WE really should have beaten UNI by 30.
Willie Harvey is a stud, and Spears looks like he will be a good one. D-backs played really well for the most part. Fun game to watch. Went almost exactly how I thought it would, feels good to say we got the W. Now, its time to F$%& Iowa.
Dunne is a darn good QB IMO and the UNI WR's were solid. Have to consider UNI returned 17 starters and dominated ISU really last year even though score said otherwise.

News alert..Liberty just beat Baylor at Baylor. Liberty isnt even in TOp 30.
Remember teams improve most from week 1-2. I thought our Dline once we settled down looked ok..Jaquan is a complete stud..LIma did a GJ of taking up 2 guys most of the night.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I heard on the broadcast that the entire O-line is either new or playing new positions?
If so, they did well enough.. and it gives me hope for better performances in the future. But run blocking early on was pretty rough.
Campos is back at LT after missing last year. Good-Jones moved from RT to C. The other 3 are all new.
Run blocking was pretty weak at first, but got better. Pass blocking seemed pretty solid, but on the other hand we never really ran deep routes...
Just have to say Blum and Rosenfels are both talented and make a great team. Wish they were the radio broadcasters.
Slow start and some first game mistakes, but I saw a lot of good things out there today. Nice win.
