It appeared that when Brahmer and Carson both went down to injuries, in the first half, the Knights' defensive pressure up front increased. I thought Rocco made a nice adjustment to the pressure and started tucking it and running- using the Knights' heavy push against them.

Crowd was very good tonight. So happy to come away with a win.

Even with the win, my absolute favorite part of the night was a loud, obnoxious, drunk guy wearing a shirt that said "**** Around and Find Out!" getting arrested and walked out of the stadium in handcuffs. Just amazing.

Saying there are 15-20 teams better than us is not "wondering how we'd match up against Alabama or Tennessee"... it's saying teams like Boise St and SMU are better than us, as well as teams like Missouri, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, Illinois, etc.

And yeah - in this year I think there's a good discussion to be had if ISU could compete with Alabama... because Alabama is NOT a good football team.

At some point the resume matters. There aren’t too many teams that haven’t laid an egg and had a loss or near miss against a mediocre team.

I’m fine with people ranking BYU or Indiana ahead of us. They have earned it too. But agree with you that people that think there are 15 or more teams better than ISU are nuts.

Almost every team has some serious warts. People both that are ISU fans and haters are ignored lots of poor games by other teams and focus on this one.

And I’ll say this again regarding Boise State. If your signature game is a loss then you aren’t a top 10 team. North Dakota and Arkansas State are higher in Saharan than about half of BSUs schedule. The MWC is complete trash outside of BSU.

And the Big 10 and Big 12 are nearly identical in Sagarin.

I'm thankful we had all of our time outs. I used to get so frustrated watching us burn time outs earlier in the half when behind in football games. By saving them for when we needed them, it allowed us enough time to get the ball back and get that score.

Big time agree. We even took a red zone delay if game penalty earlier in the game. Why? We were behind & the TO is more important than 5 yards that point of the game. Coaching staff applying what they've learned (took a while).

There was a guy in the stands that was calling Rocco a bum, Heacock an a-hole, we’re overrated. Calling the injured UCF guys pussies and booing them. Just all game negative stuff. A few of us just said “hey come on” when he was doing the UCF stuff but he was drunk as hell and none of us really wanted to deal with that ****.

He was among the loudest when we won.

Hate fans like that.

I'm glad our players don't crumble as fast as some of our fans the moment they face any sort of adversity. CMC hit it on the head of the nail when he said our players truly believe in themselves. I wish some posters had similar level of belief in our clones as well.

I am pretty sure he only came in on the last drive. He was down warming up right in front of me when the defense was out there trying to get the stop.

Travis's reaction was down right awesome, too.

Neal played a fair amount at guard in 2nd half. He was at least rotated with one of the starters, if not both. UCF's inside DL were working over our guards & center like no other team this year, including Iowa. Neal helped steady the ship, plus it benefitted our players with our 20+ play advantage over their defense.

I think UCF let up and conceded the touchdown here. Had to be thinking they would only need a FG for OT or a win if they stopped the 2 pt try and wanted to preserve as much clock as possible.

Their entire defense just stood and watched the sneak.
