I think the big 12 teams got to a point where they would almost all fall back on defense after a shot to avoid the ISU fast break and ISU got used to getting easy rebounds. UAB was rarely blocked out after missed shots and it killed us.

Razor thin margin of error. Finally bit them in the butt. More disappointing than the H loss IMO. That team ended on such a horrible note so a collapse was forseeable.

Terrible. I have a flight to catch a 3 in the morning full of hawkeye fans. I might kill myself with sleeping pills

Team went down doing the same stupid things that burned then all season, just to stubborn to learn from it. Lot of wasted potential this year.

We need more bigs to reach the next level imo. Just got killed on the boards. We really only have two in Niang and McKay. This one hurts.

Shots weren't falling and couldn't get a call when we drove to the hoop. We were getting mauled all game.

What game plan is there against that? Couldn't rebound either

When you're told you're great by everyone you have to block it out. ISU thought it could roll in and beat these guys again and they were wrong.

Even the TTech loss was a true road game. Honestly, the analytical side of me says ISU will probably win by 20+ points. The matchups and intangibles are in our favor. But the Cyclone fan in me is waving the nutcup in the air screaming "Don't forget to wear this today!".

Thank god I listened to my inner Cyclone fan today! Team got what it deserved with that play.

That sir is what happens when you think you can sleepwalk to the Final Four.

This is the reason I couldn't stand this year's team vs. last year's. Last year we played with heart, and this year we played with a sense of entitlement that we hadn't earned through anything. Winning the Big 12 tourney and making the Sweet 16 is a great season, but isn't the Final Four or winning the national title. Our guys played soft all year and it finally bit them today. We had some great, great runs and a huge amount of talent but it finally bit us hard from an inferior team that wanted it more than we did.

How have we become the team that wants it less than others? I have prided myself my whole life, in being a Cyclone fan, on wanting it more than the other team. This team played with fire all year and never gave 40 minutes of full effort (closest I can remember was against Arkansas). I want to love this team but I just can't. I will always love the good memories of the comebacks and winning in KC again. The scary thing is next year's team returns a lot of these guys. Will they change before next year and decide to dominate like they are capable of?

Thanks to Dustin, BDJ, and Edozie. Lots of great effort from those guys during their careers as Cyclones. Just not enough combined team effort across the board.

Good season. Terrible ending.
March Madness strikes hard.
Very true. This is the first time CFH's team has not been ready for an NCAA tourney game. This was the worst team they have played in the tournament the last 4 years.

Good season. Bad ending thanks seniors. Not sure why our only hot hand today had to sit all second half. I'm sure everyone cares about the big 12 tournament championship now.
