That was the best the offense has run all season. Great shot selection and patience all around. Really glad to see that, and the defense came to play for most of the game. I'm very happy with this game even though everyone seems to want to freak out because Texas made their way back into the game. Do you expect ISU to hold off a team that talented for an entire half? No way.

We stopped playing D, but Texas also started chucking at an insane % even for warmups.

I think it'll be a very close game in Austin...if McKay can do what he did to Taylor after Taylor scored those quick first 8 points, I really like our chances.

Skimming through the game on DVR. Was I the only one who caught the ESPN cut away to commercial showing the scenic sights of campus on a winters night, including the beautiful glowing lights of the local Kum & Go? Call me junior high, but I chuckled.

I noticed that too. I thought to myself, "out of all scenic shots in Ames, they had to use that one?" I think they were trying to show the clock tower, but the red Kum & Go sign really stood out.

Big win, and way to protect the home court. If they can steal one at KU or at UT that will make up for the Tech loss. Onto the next one.

That isn't the first time I have seen that shot on a broadcast. It seems like an interesting choice to say the least.

Have to give props to Barnes for how he handled the last 2/3 minutes. Yes it took forever and yes it was annoying as hell, but he gave his guys a chance to make some shots and make a run and they damn near pulled it off. I didn't think they were ever going to miss again the way it looked.

Idk why so many people are so ****** about this win. We will be able to take a lot more from a win where we almost gave it away than a blow out.

Mainly because if we shoot this terrible from the line, we'll be exiting the tourney in the Round of 32. That was an ugly win

It's also funny how they recorded a loop inside the book store and play the same one every game. I bet the two guys standing in front of the camera are famous by now

The starters had a fantastic game as a group out there with Niang and BDJ leading the way. Niang makes our offense so hard to defend, very lucky to have him. Last 9-10 minutes were frustrating, but the first 30 were beautiful! Somehow we have to get past the mental block we have shooting free throws, I think this can be an average to above average team from the line.

So basically were ****** because, despite winning, the type of effort, if repeated 15 games from now, could potentially cause us to lose some theoretically close matchup in the NCAA tourney? Just want to make sure I have my head around this before I go getting ****** for the wrong reason.

This. Not much else to say than that. Coach knows more than fans.

Didn't like finish but Texas simply couldn't miss. Fred's post game on radio detailed all the things they did to slow the run. Texas just got hot.

Wow I can't believe people are seriously tearing the team apart after this win. We played the best we have all season and the only reason it was close was because Texas was draining every ridiculous shot they threw up at the end.

Everyone's going to have the Texas Tech game in the back of their minds for a while. I'm going to enjoy this one like we should.

Let's face it winning in the Big 12 is tough. Don't care who you are. In fact, I am not so sure next Saturday's game against Texas Christian won't go down to the wire..

We just scored 89 and shot 54% against the nation's 2nd best defending team. People just can't fathom the luck involved in their 26 point run with 3:12 left in the game. BTW, we were up by 16 at that point and scored 13 of our own. I'll forgive them this time.
